EDMONTON - A woman was killed Monday when the truck she was driving turned over and crushed her beneath its roof.4 W" C7 H$ f( `) x6 S! s. c

The woman was driving a gravel truck two kilometres north of Westlock when it veered off the road. The truck rolled across Highway 44, trapping and crushing the woman in the cab.

. T7 c# ]( C3 yAudrey Wiedrick, 57, from Westlock, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to RCMP. She was not wearing a seat belt.: ?8 y, n6 o* }
Wiedrick worked for Alberta Highway Services and was hauling a water tank and asphalt packer when the accident occurred, said Jason Maloney, spokesman for the Alberta occupational health and safety office.8 K( Z4 I9 [* b# @, S5 a
9 o: h4 ?# z) j b% L' A% K8 XIt is not known what caused the woman to drive the truck off the road. Occupational health and safety and the RCMP are investigating.

"The truck is considered a workplace, that was the driver's workplace," Maloney said, explaining why they are investigating.# W8 e3 l, B9 t5 ^
