a. To develop and implement a marketing plan for the venues that
. o& r; ~0 E+ g9 n0 Dfocuses upon advertising and promoting the venue to faculty,

· To develop and maintain promotional materials, the Horowitz 2 g6 J L& F) y7 S" ?* Y
Theatre and SU Venues home page, newspaper and other advertising; to / D6 L P) {( Q; |! E: T1 |. q/ S

· To promote upcoming events in the Horowitz Theatre through the ; C K$ S! q1 ^6 h8 H q
use of the Horowitz Theatre Home Page and the SU Events Calendar.

venues meet the appropriate standards, requirements and needs, and

the renter´s events. This includes, but is not necessarily limited

4 Z, a& R/ D( M· To be responsible, under the direction of the Manager of Venues % u$ I( t& {/ E
and Programming, for all staff issues including hiring, disciplining,
1 ^2 z& |- U( H# {+ bevaluating and terminating, as necessary.
7 y6 G( x* x( @; i8 T4 F% ] To ensure that the Horowitz Theatre is adequately supervised at
, g& t+ J% F# g5 j* E3 e, ] N- fall times, this includes the development and implementation of such 5 L# s3 h5 U% p4 m5 Y
schedules and rosters as may be necessary to ensure the effective and
% T, c! ]& @: c! Q2 }, Rcost-effective supervision of the venues at all times during which it & d4 g1 ?) p& d- {' S# A
is in operation or needs to be in operation.$ H g, z& y: {
· To work with the Technical Director, when necessary, to ensure
6 P% ?; c, Z7 P& f! Cthat an adequate and appropriate level of part-time staff exists to
6 X# G. W% P1 x5 Z- v* M" V/ ^# {5 U+ ?facilitate the smooth operation of the venues and to ensure all + V/ d: h3 i y
renters needs are met.

and attitudes of all subordinate staff are appropriate in light of 4 u0 e, U2 o9 D9 i
the roles they must perform. This includes providing adequate and

appropriate areas, and ensuring that the Policy and Procedures manual

scheduling. To handle payroll related matters, under the guidance

· Working with the Manager of Facilities and Operations to ensure

systems and processes utilized by or within the venues meet the # L; l4 c" w3 Q: ?6 N
appropriate standards, requirements and needs, and contribute in a + w2 Z% O: P- z" B
positive way to the smooth operation and success of the venues. This 6 J7 V$ R9 P# E
includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:

operating budgets covering the venues to the SU´s Manager of $ Y& L1 p6 C/ y/ G3 f
Programming and Venues and to discuss and refine those budgets

· To manage the venues in a manner which adequately and effectively

events held in the Horowitz Theatre.

the requirements of the SU´s Manager of Programming and Venues and

contributes positively to the smooth operation and success of the

a. To ensure, at all times, that the systems and processes used in

( c; r5 {" E' p7 S/ V· To recognize, develop and set in place such rental procedures as
7 e; J% R0 \" c" Q2 d$ F! pmay be necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the venues, this

in the areas of contracts, inventory management, contract evaluation,
/ ]: }" V0 S! R9 s. Y2 `pricing, costing, equipment usage, rental/contract invoicing,
2 j3 v5 Y; u1 D0 ^) Ktogether with such other systems and procedures as may be necessary
; B3 m# N; n5 Pto ensure the smooth, secure, efficient, cost-effective and # O7 f! o/ I5 N2 x& o3 a; ?( o
functionally-effective operation of the Horowitz Theatre.8 B/ V; J# |3 L' q0 {
· To recognize, develop and set in place such operational procedures . p! D/ G) \, _
as may be necessary to ensure the smooth, efficient and cost-
& t9 K" E# ?$ q# h- v2 `effective operation of the venues.
& s, }) T P* O· To negotiate rental lease agreements (contracts) relating to 1 x' F/ t7 P# f% }
dates, rates, staff and miscellaneous charges.
9 H/ E& [5 c7 E1 |; N3 [· To ensure that adequate inventory is available at all times and
! D" Q) p/ w( N$ {; ^5 Rthat such inventory is stored and issued in effective and secure ways.
* A; ~6 B y5 r/ ~, [) M· To consult with renters as to facility issues in producing their
& J" \4 b k' q7 |2 gparticular event in the venues.
* P2 T: E2 V# ^0 s· To provide the venues on-site staff with such documentation and ' C a1 k& L8 k9 X: X# {/ C& ?
supporting information as it may need to effectively fulfill the
- o. { p9 t+ `4 p0 `roles they are to perform to ensure the success of the renter´s event.
/ z0 ^; B! ?/ p6 h· To produce quotes in respect to staffing costs for a particular , f; n, |) R- d* u; v4 V
rental with consultation with the Technical Director.* ~4 N, s/ z$ u6 y4 f! o
· To ensure that all queries raised with the venues whether from the ( ]- c# c; s, x( H" O6 V5 h
SU or renters, are promptly and effectively handled and adequately \( P( j( |1 t4 R
answered, and to ensure that such action as may be necessary in
! j8 V$ E# l" afollow-up to such queries is taken in a timely manner.
4 m( B9 ^& {' e6 j& I To ensure that the venues and its capabilities are adequately, ; |; F. l/ W3 }' G
effectively and cost-effectively advertised and promoted, and that - s W( ?8 b) w3 |1 b
the cost of such endeavors does not exceed the budgetary provision q4 \+ {# R2 Q; _! }5 r
made for them unless prior approval is given by the Manager of - M7 s) P/ o) B8 t7 x& T
Programming and Venues.

( `( `& ~; V( s/ ~significant challenges and/or problems surrounding the tasks of
