总结一下，其实还是洋人对被罚款的不满很理性，以后吐槽多学习一下，以免再次被扣上“中国人民的生命在你眼里就那么贱？”的帽子 2 Q p2 j8 b. z* p2 @2 @4 x

In 2007, the City councillors voted to have the program run in-house, as opposed to by a private company. The operation was intended to cost $6.7 million over the course of 5 years. City auditor David Wiun reported that the actual amount spent was $53.6 million, of our tax payer dollars; none of which has been accounted for to the public. Our own Mayor, Don Iveson just "shrugged it off". Where did our $46.9 million go? That money could've been spent on what our City truly needs, such as roadway improvements, social programs, or even more city sponsored events, to make this a better place to live." k$ { }! |2 t' i. If this program was about safety, why are there not more photo radar posts in residential areas, or by schools? Why almost exclusively on main, high traffic volume roads? The most notorious being Anthony Henday, where people are being charged for going only slightly over the limit (on a road where the limit is already much lower than it should be). This is ridiculous, and is a blatant cash grab by our City. If you want to make money off your citizens, use cameras. If you want safety, bring back police officers to the streets. W9 I9 m- _1 ?( m0 u
. ]4 {3 x4 T: |8 b* h; sIt's time to end the traffic radar revenue system. It isn't working, and the citizens of Edmonton have had enough. Give us a traffic enforcement system that works well, and achieves the goal of moving people around our city safely and convienently. |
