When I was in U of A, some professor chated in the coffee room, "Two things we don't argue: tradition and religion." I think it was a very wise comment.

tomgod Vs dora --- a debate in logistics 7 s# D2 u+ B/ [" s$ U6 j' E" L7 @! ]% w" O* d& Q
dora believes: 上帝无所不能, while tomgod does not. 4 J7 r7 `! O) @$ G( z: n' EThen tomgod tried to overthrow dora's conclusion (上帝无所不能) by finding one thing that 上帝 can not do. tomgod asked dora a tricky question (a puzzle): 6 _/ ?6 `% N; ~"上帝能否造一块他(她/它)都不能举起的石头????" * p) e5 [) H4 c4 d- B
6 f7 s' K+ ` m9 PIt seemed that dora would be in a deep trap. 6 A n. f% u X4 r; P
If dora answered YES, then there would a 石头上帝不能举起 --> 上帝 is not 无所不能 3 _+ l, b6 w* l" ~ d2 l# vIf dora answered No, then --> 上帝 is not 无所不能5 k$ ?5 K J/ y- s' d5 X
Either of these two answer would lead to " 上帝 is not 无所不能"+ f" h7 b: Q2 K
* W5 T( r% @+ N! q' q However dora did not follow the usual way of thinking into tomgod's trap. dora's answer was as the following: "上帝都不能举起的石头"不存在, which means that the queston is a fake one 2 Y6 U+ S4 f( Y1 k* L; R9 P+ B4 {# x5 K$ Q+ _2 R. G
If the question is a fake how can you expect there should be a simple Yes or No answer for the wrong question? - O" ~6 M" Y- Y J4 ]' n* F2 r$ q* v! N# p, |& X m; q; d
Thats why I made a comment from the logic point of view "Dora's 逻辑 is correct." & t7 L/ t* U, p4 N
