其实cheesy这个词也有别的意思,和肉麻涵盖的范围并不是完全一致的,只是我“研究”至今的最近词汇。油油有啥高见?

what about clichéd or hackneyed, are they closer? They both mean something by "overuse" but the end results still seem to difer from when I use 肉麻

have you checked the link that sansi posted here? it's a slang dictionary defined by the readers, to some extent it is similar to wikipedia. I believe that languages are alive, for words like "cheesy", this slang dic can give you a much better idea of its real meaning than traditional ones.

Thought I'd throw in my 2 cents!
; A! N4 [1 T2 H# a, U
1 p! W* n2 \; _$ L' ^- x( z# Wcheesy often means "cheap, flimsy and of low quality". However, when it is used to describe food, it usually means "of a lot of cheese"; when describing an emotional/sentimental scenario, it could mean "fake", "of low class",  caused by affectation, which may very much make one to feel "rou ma" , "goose bumps" is just one of its infamous side effects.
