* A9 o, y; S2 M, ]Now I think I get it clear: To change name before applying citizenship, we need to go through Registry (pay 250CAN, waiting for 6-8 )first, and submit the Name Changing Certificate to CIC for citizenship. (Passport and PR card can not be changed. )3 V; K) L0 b; `' n

Some may have different experience with whether Name Changing Certificate is needed for citizenship. I guess that may depend on the processing officer at CIC. One may be generous or careless, so it also works without that certificate.' K2 j% t( P8 U) X, J
