- X* M* v* a. f' dNow I think I get it clear: To change name before applying citizenship, we need to go through Registry (pay 250CAN, waiting for 6-8 )first, and submit the Name Changing Certificate to CIC for citizenship. (Passport and PR card can not be changed. )/ E% y/ A R, @
' ~' x5 U3 X: h6 J* TSome may have different experience with whether Name Changing Certificate is needed for citizenship. I guess that may depend on the processing officer at CIC. One may be generous or careless, so it also works without that certificate.& |2 H, ?8 n7 J% m! @" K/ }! f
