Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the
9 r6 b3 `5 @; x7 Z2 x4 n# [: Z' O4 ]festival.
3 r% c" ]; c/ vBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
& X4 P$ d8 R% ~* E9 C1 D6 t; F" vwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
% R+ G7 f$ ~$ m8 z' D7 Q8 G4 ^prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.9 I" Y2 I+ V" u
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
* K6 O: r0 w" D2 Qartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.: \( r3 q4 T/ ~# f8 X* C
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
1 X+ z1 _4 V! ]' i7 t% C" uvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
& Y0 s8 W" x0 }recyclables.
1 s6 Y% f7 ]1 q+ DFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
8 \ t' R1 t7 g9 L6 s- {) i; Vpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
: j6 f& `# O$ K1 o8 p. fHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
) w. K2 B2 o' N1 {! Dthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late& @7 O: \0 c K
hours are part of this crew’s duties.* v5 t& Y$ t/ o+ `5 u
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the0 @: @$ |4 q/ a( K( |. b! J9 Z& n
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
) H5 z7 k8 }! \9 vprograms to visitors to the festival.
) ~6 B- g" H X- J& M# u7 B2 B' XKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
( u7 f1 j: s+ M. ?% Ieveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.& e5 C6 K, b% T+ a. P
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
0 u3 i: \! {1 K7 Q% ]events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the" \) t& j" {- w, p4 {" g
festival., n3 k! V0 [5 Y6 T8 R$ R* m
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is( F8 S2 K- x2 Y7 z* {
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you! f5 g' Z! r( ^+ v! M( |2 L5 ^0 p8 X
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.; I: `& P9 n/ s) f2 y
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training: R" Q8 L6 h) O3 f" J- [1 W F
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
* C, @/ V6 z; a5 b) ~# f" a. ITransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be6 @' R$ |" ~! Q# f+ g
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as5 M4 b1 v" {( \* ~
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival) s* m) B J- n( L8 w
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
