Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the: r2 I6 b+ p6 H8 g F
festival.
( [+ h7 j# x( ? ]% }0 zBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
, c/ V7 ^5 ]+ ], d# S: l8 zwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
8 k E% X; V/ K3 J, tprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
+ g4 e$ q1 {; R9 A) uChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the$ w3 c! n" w& w2 c
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.8 d1 i! d1 `/ N" E' D0 K# G
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for1 o# K0 _4 c+ Q0 g' T5 q
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the8 C' g. j) Q) {8 N& \: Y
recyclables.
3 ]7 Z' w1 j- M( O" [- K" DFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be/ F9 u5 a0 v8 S" O; k
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
. l; A4 g1 f0 }4 Y. @& r+ ZHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing9 t* F, y t6 p' P
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
% A6 J7 O2 f1 ]9 z2 u* Rhours are part of this crew’s duties.+ R `0 u4 }; l. v" E& D4 p! P
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
* R* y9 o. p6 l( G% E" u/ U5 Wfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide- X( t+ X9 \ O2 |% B' j) J
programs to visitors to the festival.7 ]7 l& c5 }( Z( e5 F$ Y
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
+ G! W# W; i: j" o7 severyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
% N9 D- f& E& w! T, z! U- ?Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
. L) D$ ], b- Yevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the' ]6 y3 J- i, Q9 Q" n, l$ i6 A
festival.. ]) e; ^: n8 k7 {
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
; O" p- l4 G* X/ m# ]- g" ?! roperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
5 q' `1 z* n6 F: i# T) fare physically fit and ready for any emergency.9 s7 _0 _, z: B. f# i4 @- B
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
- G: {4 W. ?) C) N8 land/or understanding of back stage procedures.1 Z0 C2 s$ s h* b6 M
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
6 W: @9 w/ L" C( u8 G3 c* X* Orequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as# q B6 b3 o |& C" w
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
4 X, d9 P5 N1 ~% ostaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
