Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the
" f! U" u+ Z8 C9 _; w$ @+ @festival.1 A4 a h6 W' V9 _) ~- `9 Z
Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
& ?7 _2 l5 a4 Y% }& mwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft/ S c8 |/ j6 S+ h0 I& x" @* i
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
o: X0 ~8 V& ^% j& n4 |Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
6 j3 b( A M8 z1 g5 `artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come./ E: e. r1 R, O& ^. N4 r' g1 F
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
3 }4 I! E2 Z1 h2 V/ m# tvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
0 [) l8 `6 b7 r) H% f7 Yrecyclables.# ?; K! O' P6 d6 q# a
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
7 E g% {. v1 O& gpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.5 d0 Y( y4 p; h- I8 |) J
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing) ^" x" P0 f5 r2 Q
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
, L- v& A Q( B* Y% \" Khours are part of this crew’s duties.) M$ h& H- `: t2 p
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
- K4 b4 }$ t$ J, m/ @. z5 w4 nfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
& z% F7 o5 \$ H# aprograms to visitors to the festival.
* o+ d1 F% v7 i( yKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
+ Y" w+ u+ T: c. N8 d( teveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
7 @ x6 x+ O( C# w9 DOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
; X# ]/ A! C- A7 A- |$ [- Sevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the9 }! R8 f# o1 n$ y- z
festival.
# O: B. Q% p/ h. SSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
( B! x8 G: @4 {; q) q7 goperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
: e: v. }0 D# A* dare physically fit and ready for any emergency.
6 K, A6 n( L6 o/ I1 x5 \Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
4 t& s% ^2 q$ x* B aand/or understanding of back stage procedures.7 d2 A, l* @, l7 Y' V8 j- @
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be# h. Y9 k @0 T$ D9 w0 O
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
0 W7 R& d9 h6 u. r* A Lairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival9 H' N5 i* h4 o4 }; q) z# q
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
