$ s* u+ @2 l; f9 NBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
5 A. D3 E+ y# n% e; J/ Ework the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
( H) W" g% p( I6 _, Qprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up./ X: @: C6 i6 J& w/ @
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the: I9 ]) W4 \4 F! \
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
4 e+ ~% C2 k% e/ O& I! @. w0 BEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for% w W( G# o! h R7 b. k! _6 W
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the4 o3 x c6 Q9 H/ _8 P: [0 S* u5 j w
recyclables. Y5 U: K9 E4 ]- u! q
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
2 B7 O+ [8 h1 y) [3 y- [3 mpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.! U) B6 E- S, ^9 g. ?& I
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
- K" x+ ?# K7 f6 o" b, Kthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
) S8 \ x. S0 k, x C8 Z1 }( phours are part of this crew’s duties.
3 R. u" s: ]8 t% g* ?Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
) V% I9 g ?& m4 e3 Tfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
& r1 F# ` V7 A# L, R; J9 V& E% Iprograms to visitors to the festival.# w0 a" R! Q$ B+ s+ J/ O
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
' n7 R. r: s0 M* Q0 ieveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.3 }) w: D9 q! g6 X# {' Y% v; y
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
2 M' Q6 a, O Bevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the2 t% F. B- I; G0 i% B! o
festival.
6 L( j) n |3 TSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
% } p( b* F3 _0 \4 A" }! Boperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you, V5 D6 Q M) }6 e J2 f
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.7 }0 C$ y% H/ @7 d0 k6 c
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
" m+ [; @8 X( P' ^8 D! Qand/or understanding of back stage procedures.2 h- [7 W: v( e
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
1 c8 H8 ?4 C: ?) X* N! Q% jrequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as# O; \# i0 J/ b( @' l) U
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
$ G- H* q" M. x+ A+ q$ astaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
