Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and% ?. N& E5 ^) k& N
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft# [$ N% n) M( C& |7 Q3 l' R
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.5 W4 P1 j/ V! K' Z8 h+ r3 a
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the1 C) _( n) Y& G# M
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
v! Q; M7 l& E8 Z7 r# LEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
1 c: e$ Y6 [# n8 k# k$ i1 S/ r3 f V8 u: Rvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
3 c) ]8 O, u& z1 b, h4 Precyclables.
7 c" ?. Y; X$ S* g8 \5 mFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
8 q7 \3 W' T5 B( `- _part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
9 I2 i; M$ V5 d1 ?3 RHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
5 k, l! S- `8 w" Qthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
1 M/ N8 G0 m5 z( xhours are part of this crew’s duties.
* S3 Z: j% }; ?1 ^Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the, B7 [6 U, D- L4 f% O$ P
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide" m( _3 S; N1 E- o; S. c0 k; F
programs to visitors to the festival.; z& b( e3 y! j9 o# o0 {# ?1 B
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
; w9 T7 G- v' w$ O2 ^% d" w3 teveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.' u+ N c5 x# [6 Z$ l0 {8 U& R' @! m* ^
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed( h6 N. e+ p9 w {8 @- `( {8 W9 L
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the+ u! n- F2 X e }5 ^4 n
festival.4 W: w6 Y# u0 y* F' J( ^
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is. f/ W& l1 {5 j) o3 C$ n! J
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you; t ?/ u7 A1 ?* O) p6 ]0 H
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
, ~' r, }6 h1 b/ Y4 I/ mStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training& r# M i3 v& x
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
4 H) H9 @+ r6 [$ D- sTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be/ V- ?. m5 X1 u3 [% l8 l+ |* b
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as! k( ^1 y, F! j$ k, ^/ ?! P: q
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
3 s6 g( X$ w/ I5 B( ~staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
