Association (Children Div.) is putting together an Opera performance at

theatre, U of Alberta, Jul. 21, Sat. at 1-4 pm.  The casts are led by 2

instructors - Lau Wai Ming and Fong Suet Ying, both are Champions of
+ \& a% G0 C. S$ d' [4 R% U( Wthe
0 R" J. p1 U, y0 F6 C0 U# c$ V+ aCantonse Opera Contest in Hong Kong and was awarded outstanding
& F; r9 s0 r# E3 F5 u: _Achievements
# f' u0 t9 q/ Zin Arts Education in the teacher category by the Hong Kong Arts
" `6 D- M# l1 {0 T! X" q# A4 J6 lDevelopment
0 c! l7 l- V  r2 N1 u) ]; c# RCouncil.  Children cast members are ranging from 6 - 15 years old.  The
4 ]7 M$ V9 V$ Y
performance will be done in English with Chinese operatic music; plus a
few
songs in well-known Cantonese Opera... The performance was done to
) x/ W8 B- N9 m  g* C5 ^sold-out
crowds in various Hong Kong venues and received rave review from the
  R+ P, B& f5 \Hong Kong
