JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to and under the general supervision of the ) w0 a& Q% D! s3 ?% N; x# Y
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the + x* A& V/ J3 p. y/ u, W
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,
* U6 ]$ { Q2 B2 Fcleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:' {7 L( I* q% x" F
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and
, }, i' E4 }: [; x( |beverage items.

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the
3 P, o9 u; Z! O4 T" `+ ibar and debit floats.# X2 ^, V( M9 u2 G+ o+ Y; h; f* N
$ I% b* H1 x5 m& q
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of
. F [ z8 e% e6 ieach shift, and upon closing./ S( c) a l; L, o: Q4 v, A3 U
+ R1 X( S3 P& U6 [( l8 `0 V+ m4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular 9 `9 s6 a. f1 J+ k8 d+ E* f
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and ; [( q/ M5 S& Q: ]9 l0 t
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.' A4 X2 j0 \! i4 S8 }

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in & ^3 x* g, o& Q+ @
storage areas. Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol % W& e, X( W& ]# d% k( w! P
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift./ P7 f* U+ o( n# B

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close % ~1 f0 T6 ~; p3 @$ Z( ?0 z9 J# i
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a
( K$ X0 [# L7 D- v! w! Y4 D! T1 Fhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in 8 X; F) F. e! s. B3 Q
accordance with Students' Union policies.9 a8 O d/ S- h7 G( |2 u& J4 Y1 I

high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.

Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

$ \/ e) @% `9 _9 g o. J: Q2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume 6 }! K* U% p+ [3 B1 H' y
operation.# p# O/ p2 W* Q# C+ y8 u* p# W
& L1 W6 u5 n+ y* D" j" \3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in ) M/ K1 W }) l3 d/ q3 D# v
accordance with Students' Union policy.# d2 c$ o% q2 K
6 z7 b. S$ p ?( W% U2 [4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´ / Q) t% b+ c4 r+ M

Wage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
