JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to and under the general supervision of the ; y6 W* h+ j" n0 k, p$ y' ]9 R
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the
9 M. A3 v0 P3 Eprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service, ; e9 r2 L9 i0 b" e
cleanliness and order in the bar.

* N1 \; O: G! ]DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
5 o9 T6 H' X4 o1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and ! u. i/ r9 W, m" G' d
beverage items.5 ~* u% R: E" s

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the . y/ Z. k. P, J8 V6 H
bar and debit floats.

7 L! G; B. e3 W9 k+ t+ R! g( z1 f U3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of

1 U. k+ T, f* ^: g5 z2 |4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular " K; p/ W1 m8 h: {; C/ j
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and
) y* _( E- w( nseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

storage areas. Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol 2 e. O" K9 k5 |8 i
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close % {4 j! S' d4 h
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a ( h9 J' D$ \) l& O+ n
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in 3 A3 _2 G* n: f2 X
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a

To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,

1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.4 H) G, O, n/ v3 u
9 J8 v% {# f% S, M/ D2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume 4 ~" @! ^- R% M$ \+ D
