0 j5 S9 C( y* Q' u7 T5 K, y) c$ Z' }JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
, H! c. ^9 D  }2 Icarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

! M) h3 r8 T! O
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

: \1 r2 l/ w+ [8 B+ O: T8 ^8 |3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
" I8 }: K, p' }2 ^total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

* O$ ~5 H1 L, C: O4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
: r) F6 D; m8 ?' ^and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
2 Y( |4 A" Q# W4 B8 C1 bintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
4 L4 }& ~0 V; |4 E$ y5 eAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

% z. o8 G7 p4 |4 j! \7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.


: }8 ?: \, {( X5 aQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

: g! o3 {! s% I& D6 n2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.
1 b* A- ]/ P) D# U$ m0 ^- U- e
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

- _3 b" ]" L( ~0 |) T* @8 Q  n5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
