Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
) u  h& ~: g8 F  Sthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
# Z4 M: ^3 X/ B/ u4 C; Evenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
4 i; u% W+ R9 e0 N$ O& ~etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
) v7 L8 }2 h, w' n* s% q9 `, \( {participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
3 a* I4 w6 f9 H: \) d% R7 vtheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
" s$ ?: U2 z4 ]; S7 Wtheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
7 ^( b6 p1 h( r* k+ C7 a; qassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
! }5 Q& Y% k  ?% _* gvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those

0 Q3 D$ K; I' B# A3 Qskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
3 n# w0 \4 q% KExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
