8 h5 P  K9 L( c: HHours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
" q1 W7 m9 g5 h% K; O' A- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
5 W' G1 V, e6 F4 k5 v3 E9 f- i8 w6 Lthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

6 M: M$ ]8 i' N7 k0 q/ E/ L' ~Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
& s/ e: A+ M2 g( GCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
* _3 f) U0 A4 w1 Zvenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
7 U- T. W4 L# s0 f" Eetc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
* x+ O/ _0 I& M+ ]# z% `, e' |their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
7 O' w/ Y: c9 m/ O1 r8 X8 Y) xassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
( I: v; ?7 p9 ?& Z5 S# n8 |excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
1 H* n- f4 W$ p, B( F/ F9 cCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
