Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
+ R0 z$ ?1 ]1 ^2 {2 \" V& \- ^the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
" \2 g* V# k, @1 |, C1 zschool year starts.

1 P' m1 @7 e) X5 \* L, `Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
- B* ~( V% D, D. |  j1 x6 c* ]9 tCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
0 X& F7 R* _  x5 r) K# Ietc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
0 i) b6 u* k' j$ b: @& evenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
( \3 h& r' ^' B( v; fexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
3 U# a# \7 G% O% s$ S# f) z( ]* S4 ~presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

2 e2 A- M4 l( s) D/ k: fQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
/ `* S0 g; O9 d4 Y7 x, T6 f! C& A' BCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
! ?) t+ t' [- A) j. T/ yfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
; O- H1 V) }& E* |a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
1 j+ q9 ~# r# |" ^' i! Yskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
: ]0 _. R# N6 G( }# E& t! bexperience coordinating group activities an asset.
