pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
9 N8 z+ g" p7 d4 N% vthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
) E% I, L2 l+ J6 B* M( j$ J5 H* _school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
% l- m. J( d: ?3 v2 oCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
- N) n, w/ ^6 a0 Svenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
1 @& g" f( S* B8 G4 K" aetc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
9 Y3 f& b8 P0 ]* [- wtheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
8 J4 Y! u$ c7 atheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
/ m% C! n' w: p2 y6 ]6 zvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
3 g' L  m* R& xfunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
- z5 k) `8 ?3 C3 ?' ^such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
4 C3 E' K3 F3 Tpresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

  P/ B# _8 T$ L1 ]3 }$ sQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
4 M# W5 d* N$ x7 NCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
. @& Q5 N* |1 w( rdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
, C8 s$ Q& r. ]8 P: Q8 @a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
/ ]* Q% H) O) R; L, x/ Uof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
1 l( b: b8 ?5 k. oexperience coordinating group activities an asset.
