The University of Alberta - Department of Chemistry is currently

9195.  

Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
3 @( @: e2 P0 v1 ]$ m( ]+ dtechnicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
% Q4 ^5 U2 u2 x4 `( a4 {' T2 w8 S7 uinclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
+ U, k3 [9 K. p8 K/ v. ?compounds by chromatography.

Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
# N' o  q9 O% V$ U- @/ Panalytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
3 R, }  m. ]/ ~' H. [' jseparations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
2 G* }. Q& a: P! G/ w) J9 h3 Aand chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
+ T; j* @' D' Dhope to work in these areas.
