recruiting for the position of Laboratory Technician Assistant - Job No.

Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
* W6 F! K( _' k; F3 c/ `0 \technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
# t3 a; c% u' f) q3 A% \include carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
compounds by chromatography.
' M6 a) Q& q& N- g9 t
Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
% S( l$ V0 [- o+ N. S' IChemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
3 ?2 g+ `  R3 Z+ Panalytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
; d+ ]% d4 _; a4 Z( m- Oseparations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
" w, ^- Q3 h* N1 h7 k9 F: ]/ ]of a team essential.
& Q9 P9 u" ]  c& @& _, I' o5 X. b! gThis position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
and chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
