The University of Alberta - Department of Chemistry is currently
recruiting for the position of Laboratory Technician Assistant - Job No.

Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

* N/ W7 N8 z1 u! J. A# f" o1 NDuties include: working closely with graduate students and research
technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
0 M4 n7 B, D, X3 n6 Oinclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
6 t% i9 X  u) Y! D; @0 fcompounds by chromatography.

Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
, e  |+ V. Y( y: `Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.

% Z' Q; Y6 k8 y( {9 Eand chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
