The University of Alberta - Department of Chemistry is currently
recruiting for the position of Laboratory Technician Assistant - Job No.
9195.  

Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
$ {; e7 Q0 w9 n4 S7 [1 Jinclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
' E& w! `5 S. gcompounds by chromatography.
5 S% {5 ~8 R# p
* h0 p/ X' M7 m: M8 f) _" j. \Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
" p! i3 R2 D% q0 e- f4 |4 Fanalytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.

hope to work in these areas.
