Hourly rate: $20 ($40,101 per annum prorated at 12 hours per week) / Z/ X1 i" n2 K* A7 }: x
Employment Tenure: Part-time/Causal (approximately 12 hours per week). The incumbent’s ( i& u/ i& t/ Z3 C* H4 F- B
schedule should be reasonably flexible.

$ V H7 U3 \: |; S1 Zweekend hours.
4 E- E: K/ v1 @9 q! KYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
4 k1 L. f/ I% `% w* T9 d. @8 [# g4 ?lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
) S! n( t5 t+ O! _* c7 icentre.
1 |9 V; @+ L9 g# g1 QThese responsibilities include:
+ O1 a) n" b7 ^3 \6 X& i-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
( v$ g* x$ n5 k( ] M; ~1 S4 [& u-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
0 X; Q1 {/ G, @; u9 v8 N-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
/ g- [4 E# Q# C3 p3 b( B& jrenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to . E( E( @2 }6 F. b& C: A; l; ?+ E5 w
facilities’ maintenance, etc. M- @( t v) V1 N$ K7 c3 W
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic

education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination

Knowledge/Technical competencies:
0 N5 ~$ p# X1 _. Z+ R: H-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.) L9 r. {. z$ z e
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
& s. E+ h- j; ?0 ~& X& |and Excel.
- P( q# O+ G; v6 k8 T5 Y-Experience using and updating an information database.

Assets:/ U" v& V( ^& t# s- ?, c
-Experience in using MS Access.
/ m5 D5 ] [2 ~1 _-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.

Abilities:
