y \" a# Y: l! B/ p* nweekend hours.
1 C) V, D& X7 l$ n/ W' ^You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer0 V: z6 m# G' \3 X
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
, ~1 d* [+ c0 Z/ s1 a6 I5 gcentre.4 w& X9 y' P# p" ~
These responsibilities include:" ^" j* l5 y! C+ z! t
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.1 ^7 i! I0 t" E& B3 F
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.' _7 l. _" v$ |4 H& u) D8 z2 ?
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
1 w, f i- @) ^renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
7 i) m8 X; y! v; R+ \% R8 c: vfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
9 t! S, ]% }3 o-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic - |3 Z" O, z' W+ ^. a
clients’ files etc. ; N6 J/ h- k5 P

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, # g. ?6 V- H8 H h+ x
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
0 D1 D/ ]1 b0 y) m, q" o4 Tof education, training and /or experience. : }7 S8 I4 @8 o
Knowledge/Technical competencies:, B- Z! P- q9 N
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
# a( i) W3 Y+ [-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
9 L) a5 @9 [0 x9 t: hand Excel. # ~: k8 v& b9 p5 L9 i
-Experience using and updating an information database.

Assets:
1 g$ l; c7 v# ~' T1 [3 E U- a-Experience in using MS Access.
