Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

2 U/ j( X- ^. f· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

7 T0 G7 f. W+ }· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
5 o+ O. x5 J; a( F) @+ I, p( r
5 }  P" I( u: c8 Z! E· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts
) g* `9 R2 d  t% o
% h' E3 y7 q/ g· Secure loads safely

- T* p4 F) g& G# t· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
$ G: j% x- w. OQualifications and Training Requirements
! f; Q# f: \8 {3 d
) N9 K( Y: H6 G* B  D% `+ W# q· Minimum 3 years experience

$ _7 W5 \5 s' Z8 @· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification
* [4 b2 V' S" P$ n( i
. P1 _, D* t5 a$ x% e· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations
1 R& i9 x+ I2 i# `) n/ W
· Excellent organizational and time management skills

- M1 N' ?" X9 N2 g9 V% n' u· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

/ \: O. b& G( N· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

. ^/ s& r+ u- P, m! t· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.
