Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

1 r9 j, X# n# ?$ h· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
  K! v* g+ ^) n' h( W2 V: \
; M) \; _9 m6 V" T· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
( |5 g. B" B8 F/ _7 Q( M8 n
· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
- J" c$ K" {- R& v6 j' A. Q9 J
" A& ^: [) R' q. o· Operate manual and automatic shifts

1 T8 F4 F; y- `- u+ Y' k  `2 H· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
( d$ G6 M  a, X4 ~3 Z/ GQualifications and Training Requirements
- p5 A* q0 ?& q. |- d% Z- R( b
· Minimum 3 years experience
6 c. J6 y3 {! X# u; q
% o! z* ]9 K5 h+ P, p, J' e· Valid Class 1 license

) V' J. \& U6 p% g. S· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

: W9 q) h# d5 E· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

4 `6 n8 l( _# P. u/ k& z7 a· Excellent organizational and time management skills

* ?6 f) F4 W1 R0 s, Y7 N8 v4 c· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

4 r+ P/ v4 T* ]( J0 F5 s% f· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.
