CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

. Q  v& S9 c- P( ?0 Q· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

  q" k1 m5 H" b5 M· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

3 ]" d  E( l; d! t5 O/ b/ M· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

7 z- r6 u0 r$ R· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

, r: x% B2 V1 Y# @: d# K· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
  J  l. T. g0 }. c, n
· Minimum 3 years experience
0 x3 K5 p5 ], S& T5 ]
! V- @2 W6 W8 W1 N: i- e% d! u7 [· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
$ s1 p! z7 Z+ j
: f( k0 K# G" Q8 Z' D0 _5 h· Load securement certification
4 p# b6 q4 m6 \7 ~3 U0 D: x
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

- \2 l# H. b" t9 a  k. z" B: z· Excellent organizational and time management skills

  k5 y; |8 K  ]6 T· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

7 {) ~# b: h: f- ]' H; ]· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

+ d; t# {9 E8 m2 e" u8 X· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
