Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

1 t5 m( k" o3 _) \& q3 K· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
- S/ v, v" p' \
! ?# I+ t& H2 u; J$ ]· Operate manual and automatic shifts

/ v* D: @  [0 n' Z* G3 E, z( N· Secure loads safely

" M" F% T- j0 @$ ?( l0 \Qualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience
( _7 z+ U7 }  M: j; k. [! X+ Y
· Valid Class 1 license

8 c1 v* d- R" g+ n, \# `· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
% |3 C1 T9 w) d" z8 t& {3 x
· Load securement certification
0 G+ @  g$ P8 |3 o  v( [# u7 e& p
, W% @. Q$ W( e( J9 Y· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
