The two-year project, facing 111th Street, will add 126,000 square feet of leasable space on the ground floor — and two levels of parking above.0 ~* X7 l, m" u# u% n

“Part of the redevelopment will include enhanced site lighting and closed-circuit TV security systems monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Southgate general manager Paul Fairbridge. ^% m3 [" x& e/ N, O

It also will include hotel-quality washrooms and private sitting rooms for nursing mothers.* Q7 o9 X; B1 c

The expansion is expected to create at least 500 new full-time and part-time jobs.
