; V3 i3 L" d, p4 TClarica was introduced in 1999 by Mutual life of Canada, and was acquired by Sun Life three years later.
6 D3 d! b8 G8 \( k* ]There are almost two million Clarica policy- and accountholders in Canada, said Sun Life. Clarica also has a sales force of about 3,500.6 x- ~) A4 H2 W0 m* o

The company said the changes will be completed by the first quarter of 2008. Sun Life will incur a $40-million to $50-million charge in the first quarter of 2007.
