Job Description : Description of Accountability

As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
0 C+ u+ A# U! f/ ~( E% U8 `9 w
' M9 l+ y/ p. @' e9 L' u) ?. K# T- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
* s6 l8 f0 v; ]! p& }8 G, i- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
; O8 k+ v4 h5 S& L( T2 o: X( B- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. 9 O& K; |( r" h1 d" \9 o
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. ( Q/ @3 w# v& ~6 Y |) F
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
: |* [! V, G! _ V, J) O- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). ' m+ ~! e9 x" v1 K% J
- Managing shift expense budgets. 7 v, x0 l7 C; l

Experience and Education Requirements
. q/ b3 K$ V/ s% Z* T( U* _ c' Y0 J" c: ]5 j- d% N
- Previous supervisory experience 4 y( v2 ^% r9 e( r5 }* [! v/ X
- Strong leadership skills
* b$ H) _; L, `2 G- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
+ |$ c2 B' H0 N- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills , k7 W/ X9 n4 j$ c" ^9 i& K
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
% `4 J( v: h( |: V* q: q- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
