As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
4 O$ E) t8 ^9 `4 V v7 _6 i# n) E
% A1 b; a' Q/ a3 m. x2 W. N- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
. Q* q- v* f) I" S7 R( n- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
+ k: f5 @- l, { g3 M/ a0 Y- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
L, S! [. Q( E c/ h- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. ( _! Z5 n. b) z+ I# }: d6 v
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
# m5 |8 S7 f- }" ~& g- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
) m. p1 ~$ H5 z2 V5 h2 u$ [- Managing shift expense budgets.

Experience and Education Requirements- a. m! P5 F8 N% m0 e
[/ G$ x' H9 i4 C- Previous supervisory experience ) f" H# W8 |( l) h. Z1 h U2 c9 C! S
- Strong leadership skills
; t" ]6 j& @- P- {# T9 c; P- A minimum of grade 12 diploma ) R8 u( T7 e9 d& |9 L. d9 Y
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills * f. o$ [: T# K' b8 R
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations * T5 f1 N$ m) r% p) u
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques., i/ N$ M( Z _9 ? I
