Job Description :  Description of Accountability

% V) w$ s% D( Z$ t) x6 \As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
( }- [7 m! e7 ~! e8 I% `9 s5 m
8 j( m% N( |# X, ^3 _8 g7 k- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
9 r7 i3 N! F, \, b5 t- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
- Managing shift expense budgets.

- Previous supervisory experience
- Strong leadership skills
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
