Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
* Q; w- B: X$ j( C& u8 n4 AModify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
' n1 K& O" W! t. L4 @; d' {' xEstimate food requirements and food/labor costs
Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
: F4 c" }: L3 j, R# T* r& GArrange for equipment purchases and repairs
/ z/ @" J" H7 s" _2 xRecruit and manage kitchen staff
! i- K2 V9 _' K  z' zRectify arising problems or complaints
Give prepared plates the “final touch”
, B0 M- k0 p+ LPerform administrative duties
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Keep time and payroll records

Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate
