We live in Magrath Heights and we are currently struggling with our 5-year-old daughter's to Kindergarten registration. I wonder if there are parents in Magrath, MacTaggart area who are struggling with this issue as well. I wish to explore possibilities to group up and help each other out on making our lives easier with the half-day kindergarten program.

, o/ r+ O3 V2 |/ a' d) ^0 I0 d# c We need to make up our mind as to which school to register to since one kid can only send in ONE registration at a time, and it can be really hard to switch school in the middle of the year. Currently there are two options for my daughter:

Option 1: Regular program - a new school - Nellie Carlson(http://www.epsb.ca/schools/newsc ... ions/nelliecarlson/) is under construction and scheduled to open September 2016; boundaries not finalized yet. 0 S P1 a, y+ t0 W/ U
No on site child care available. 4 r1 U! R6 J- u1 D) T8 K
6 b" h5 b$ Q6 X; ^ IF we fall under the final boundary, what to do with the afternoons? My husband and I both work full-time 30 minutes drive from home. I maybe able to take one afternoon off in a week, part-time is not likely an option.7 O* _ e3 H) W3 t) X: r

Option 2: Mandarin Bilingual program - Parkallen School where there is a YMCA KinderCare close by, $755 a month, AND there is a wait list.- ^* h' U" I; k( z% m, U1 h. I
Honestly, I wish to send my daughter to the Mandarin Bilingual school, but again, there is the afternoon issue, YMCA is not guaranteed and expensive. I wonder if there are other parents considering this school and we could come up with a program to support each other and incorporate with Chinese elements. 0 G& H) _' d# ?& F
