The AFETC supports families financially and encourages self-reliance and stability. Over the 2011-12 benefit year, the Alberta Family Employment Tax Credit provided about $114 million in tax relief to about 137,000 Alberta families.

◾to support children in low and middle income families, and

Who is Eligible? ( T! ~2 y: e# `# ?& g7 W
' L W0 H7 a& v& T$ eIf you meet the following criteria, you qualify for the AFETC:

, _- f! ^7 B4 Z. g- {2 q◾Parent of one or more children under 18, , W0 Q2 W. B+ k, Z8 k
◾More than $2,760 annual family working income, and 1 B8 C' P7 c9 x: v% b# J. F
◾A family net income of less than $53,725 for families with one child, $70,275 for families with two children, $80,200 for families with three children, and $83,500 for families with four or more children.
