买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

: a  A0 L, A' bYou can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:
1 W* P! R0 ]# R* c7 O. }8 a/ t•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and2 B; M4 |7 e3 Y- Z
•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer)., Q8 l+ [) o& P! b+ r! Z. a# c
So the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

, v/ v2 k0 Q3 ^A qualifying home must be registered in your and/or your spouse's or common-law partner's name in accordance with the applicable land registration system, and must be located in Canada. It includes existing homes and homes under construction.1 g, k& s; k# j( F( F2 Y

The following are considered qualifying homes:

    apartments in duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, or apartment buildings.

# ^, W1 c% Z: o, Z' h5 j$ `* g% SA share in a co-operative housing corporation that entitles you to own and gives you an equity interest in a housing unit located in Canada also qualifies. However, a share that only gives you the right to tenancy in the housing unit does not qualify.. M" |( `" c) D

在税表的Schedule 1 - Line 369行填上5000,折合成tax credit =5000*15%=750. 就是把你的交税额减去$750. 7 h( e% X: t& P: q+ y

The claim can be split between you and your spouse or common-law partner, but the combined total cannot exceed $5,000.5 `9 d' N! t. @0 L- e

3 Q! t) q. G" d, Q0 z# UWhen more than one individual is entitled to the amount (for example, when two people jointly buy a home), the total of all amounts claimed cannot exceed $5,000.
