JOB FUNCTIONS:

/ {* A* B% |$ k• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

" r) A; P. W! c- X: v/ A+ ^; b• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

) _; o& x! l( ]* X• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

7 w. F7 W, F/ ^% ~9 ~• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

% `8 [7 Q: A; \• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

1 G' G+ K% I8 D8 g6 @4 i• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

0 }, G* ~' R) W9 q- L" k8 ]• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

• Document activities for future assessment analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

( q& W1 ?& R1 H+ \' S# S• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

' t* Q4 U: d% Q* a$ ]6 S-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
