(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
3 f( ~/ K1 V; oattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of 1 [. v: \& @8 m
information that will make your transition to the University community 7 g5 f, E- R) s( o/ \0 c

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds # n7 T8 s5 m2 y6 ?
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 2 x$ Q4 [' Y/ }
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth 9 J+ Y. @4 l. c, l# [1 l/ g; J! D

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening # \* |3 X# F1 I
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
( I: i' t4 A. F( ^! ya variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
8 h; ?+ g' @' Hevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
9 d+ M Q* K8 V% n# d7 y$ i0 ~/ nHawrelak Park.

5 V' L" y4 u7 s( e J5 h/ F% tYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on - c0 o9 S. @- U- \, M+ T
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
% }) |2 D5 ^0 I7 }and then continue to meet with for the entire year./ t4 b) [5 F; T) \4 F2 i6 ]0 e9 X
2 _) U7 ^; Y( x9 CBoth MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
" C4 g% Z ]* sto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from ( n; H& V4 G8 i& u8 s4 F6 f
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your 1 O9 k" {) t3 K# _% ?2 K1 `
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
) @5 d% \. }' V# w% tyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
8 a8 g" e4 G& h j. `. W# I, v2 jof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
# j R8 p0 O; [Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
8 Y+ a2 y2 R5 ^) F# x3 xInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
, a+ s! k, K4 x. C! }4 d, P- v; zbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
) D- M& S6 s2 U0 w4 o9 |two days of Orientation).( l- A; x# u0 R' e/ @4 d3 U
