Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would ' O/ U; |, T3 H% x% c, s
like to thank you for your interest in the My Undergraduate Groups " y9 k( b0 N2 d3 b
(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
- i+ r+ X7 G/ T( Fattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of s& j6 z% V9 E9 d
information that will make your transition to the University community / Q8 T( @. `2 n- x$ d. D
more successful. K M3 }% r& x% @! M+ l

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,
, _9 j( o7 h) X1 JSeptember 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check
4 P, |& D0 E1 Z0 o' L% F3 L( V0 iin location is T B 105 in the Henry Marshall Tory Building, which can
# ~( v, E- M& n4 A$ @9 ibe found south of Saskatchewan Drive, west of HUB./ T8 @$ c# u! s3 U/ L" o. N

* c/ v$ R8 X* U7 n; B. N: bwww.campusmap.ualberta.ca to find your check in location. However, don't worry about having 6 q g k1 w0 z* d# y
to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds . s9 X8 R8 x% u2 _
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
! l3 B, K7 s2 c* u9 i$ {look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
% k+ r( I1 h5 x& \of directional information.
, B& L {# d0 `+ O
& n8 D3 D) v4 Q5 ABoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening - D, n5 S# C$ ^; N+ ]8 s
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
% J0 m" p# X4 \a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday 8 g9 c2 z) u6 x/ ]5 A
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
- ]( T5 t% W# q- C' D8 Z; SHawrelak Park.
/ U s7 D! l& i# @5 l1 n% ~: i) k; K& L, U9 O& D8 q% W9 z) k
You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on 8 D/ A' _4 f7 a
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, - N$ v+ c+ c/ V: v; G
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.: x G6 J/ V) X, b2 ]
* T B @8 v, _* x3 b
Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
$ E b* F# M& d4 v4 C1 `" O, ]1 @to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from % U! x- K4 I& V' X
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your 9 S3 E8 M1 `+ ^# N2 }
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process 4 r- U% P1 w7 y* X
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece 8 N4 |) O) Q6 Q$ K) }* s3 h
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
6 F- y' }& k0 G, PComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic % T# L* T! Q2 r+ O' R' d$ `& F, l
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and - y1 f7 i* d- y E" P# F
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
% A" K M2 m% a# V2 Ntwo days of Orientation).. |1 l9 T( u# ]8 i0 i1 [
