attending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds 0 ~5 u' l& V8 b" H3 X* ?
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically " S- W# D; X* ?, ^5 ]7 }( ~
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth - @4 Y m: x) \7 |( Q3 f. k# X
of directional information.

7 y' H2 O% P! NBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening 0 {9 v$ _/ ~0 } M4 d
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend ) x# W& r( x7 N
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday 0 x) B5 Q+ o' L7 h6 c; y
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in 7 Z: T5 T5 T' j
Hawrelak Park.

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on * R$ m8 s% u) J5 @; p' y
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, ! x$ r% }! w8 b: L2 f
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.
; O# K$ @6 C$ A4 {' @8 L9 J; B9 r' g- r N( h
Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you 9 `* }! Q% @* u6 u! E- l; h
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from 9 `4 G( I" W% E* P! I8 J: `
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your 3 m* B6 G, B9 O, M7 U
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process & W7 X8 r; m" H3 {8 ~) h, \
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
& i! A5 J- S, Uof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
0 d4 K- E' z2 G. g- b/ @Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic + `( ] Z( T' V- h) n* w$ E
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
F6 [( \" M9 K' V' tbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the 6 n( _4 Z8 |" r: X+ n; ~
two days of Orientation).: T$ N# B, u$ t+ n
