Business Development Rep Edmonton Market

Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales$ c5 M0 q/ y0 ~' n. b/ w
! D1 n8 W7 h% KThe impact of the position is to ensure long term healthy growth of the company

Key Responsibilities:

% d* U0 g( T3 ?% A% L. a• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 
9 E5 [ w" g1 e {4 X, R
• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

. N( ~9 l3 q) _• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.9 |7 b+ l9 U; I0 z- ]

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours. 

- g; u/ {0 `0 a* G' B: w g% g• To develop customer relationships with gold level customer base and industry organizations.

• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.

Job Qualifications
+ B5 q/ \7 g3 G' \# ^& i• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 
. R( A+ k* T7 p) q
• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.
6 a9 ^/ H/ G: ]. q5 z& ^4 R
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

3 g$ s& X; C0 I M) U" ^5 Q/ Q9 I• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.
% P. k* a( d5 `" g; e8 I- W
• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.0 J: x! k- y9 ~- r! e

• Travel within the assigned region.

• Comfortable using automated selling technology in a daily setting – Salesforce.com
