Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales

% i3 O& e2 u' LKey Responsibilities:

• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 

6 F' R/ \2 V' h' J/ t3 _• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

, G* h. [6 a! w. K* q• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours.

• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.

6 b6 j% e/ c& K1 [% V  H! V- p: O. m% w• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 

: A5 T# U- G3 Z( ~$ p• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.

* G1 a. n" X4 u: I6 h• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

, U7 T6 i/ W5 ~5 i4 Y# Y• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.

• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

• Travel within the assigned region.

• Comfortable using automated selling technology in a daily setting – Salesforce.com
