Today Family Violence Help Centre is an innovative centre which operates with an integrated services model providing a single point of entry to comprehensive services for those impacted by family violence in Edmonton and area. The Today Family Violence Help Centre is part of a collaborative, coordinated community response.

We are currently looking for an experienced individual for the term position of Housing Support Worker to start immediately. As part of a team, the individual will be required to build a housing registry, develop relationships with community agencies that will address housing needs and coordination of housing services for individuals impacted by Family Violence.

  D& _1 m5 p8 r9 K' O, `+ C& f& S  EThe ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:
 Minimum post secondary degree or in progress of obtaining a degree.
 Two to three years front line experience in providing resources to clients with barriers or experience in programs providing housing to clients with barriers.
1 X( w9 e( m4 `; } Experience in assisting clients who have barriers to accessing housing.
9 a! h: h5 [% X! Q/ s; ^; ? Commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including staff, program participants, and community agencies.
% y( z, x2 g0 w0 X Demonstrated knowledge of community housing resources.
 Excellent computer skills, interpersonal and written communication skills.
 Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
/ E3 k! b3 C3 v* } An understanding of family violence is an asset. The hourly rate is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on the qualifications of
