Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks) h) L5 J, X* T+ w; R! N( u+ _

- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment 2 O5 C! V: r w+ y1 V! b; N
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements: D7 K1 Y2 b5 `2 O- C5 E k& \
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines" k, j _% A7 k, L- A% Y
- Select type and size of pipe required
& w: ^+ ~; z+ D) q- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools; }( r* [3 L+ L; u
- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system0 E9 ]3 ~! E+ P1 l8 |* \. Z- m4 J
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems7 `5 Y" M" ]# O
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
# \. A) z! d2 y- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
~% [. r7 `: m& d. X: q+ g2 P- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system

! N9 [2 `6 T; H, n6 Q* A- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
6 K6 r Y4 s/ ?# X. O; O- g6 L4 i- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals! y# C" M4 K+ B+ S1 q
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence& k, \# ^& i1 Z% L) E E& E& j$ i
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
