Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

& L' g- d' n* G+ x/ HResponsibilities and Tasks- }' C7 A [) o& }# w3 ]" a
% C4 R% N$ \8 t9 n% u
- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment . d) L) N& w3 h7 s
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
+ A6 j* u4 p$ G$ y- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines y+ ` l! r$ Y' Z$ c- d6 N
- Select type and size of pipe required& |3 X5 q1 l' f# [+ E
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools! c3 s+ A( U% n
- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system. s. g& U5 |" z) a- ]! W- y
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
5 [! Y' U# Y2 v0 u2 }# {- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
) \; [; W, P0 ~: i/ C/ Z, \- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system9 f/ F& i2 w: Q8 K9 r
- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
+ _9 h; ]% I4 s. Y* N1 Q- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
' L4 U; v( B- p% H" e. V- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications
0 W9 i% y: @1 j4 H& |$ E- K! A+ p! c) L( `" F
- Completion of secondary school" d6 r8 c' t1 Z- X; w4 m9 U
- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
; y, P5 J, `" |: c# I; ~9 Q- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, ~0 y8 ^: _& i$ g( d- w6 _
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence: U6 D( ]# _2 B6 ~5 k( e3 K
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
; |( l: Y! J+ }; P d8 ~- Safety tickets are considered an asset
: L3 f/ Z7 p) h4 k- Valid drivers’ license is an asset2 o3 k1 u+ [( g5 o t
- Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
