I’m told it’s possible we’ll see an “in development” announcement sometime in 2012 for a large megapixel DSLR from Canon. I have heard both 39mp and 46mp prototype(s) are out in the field.( G% Y4 [) [5 _& l# M8 O
! j' Z! o7 r9 W3 y$ ~7 bIn development announcements seem to be getting more popular with Canon and their high end products. As we’ve seen from the EOS-1D C and EF 200-400 f/4L IS 1.4X, it seems to allow them a lot of latitude in testing and helps with public relations.
