Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

P/ A* P6 Z% T+ y3 Z2 wPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

) D+ I4 W9 e. w* L; d• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
0 ]3 `+ R) [+ t0 M• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST1 b9 M7 \5 e2 M, K: |! v' P' z
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
v" I7 ?+ f3 n% e% _+ W6 W• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
* B) ]4 ~& U8 X( b% V$ y% l• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
" x% C0 ~* b% j3 ^* `• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker# c. _2 Z8 R- ] _
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events& D7 A1 P. Q6 W* H$ w9 `# i& X
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
& @6 D8 O, n. {$ Q1 w1 |• Keep the reception area tidy and clean' t) O) k* i' P/ O" U
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters6 R' m2 t1 U& g- I' o
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
8 c5 F E8 c) V6 x8 O: `6 A- I• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person& t6 ]( D: a5 Z, I$ v) M/ ]9 U
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset# N6 _6 M5 G! |+ I0 X1 T
• Good English writing and oral communication skills

• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

% A$ d5 A& o. ?* j• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
! v% F2 Z) d. |9 D• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
0 N9 b9 h3 \- e$ Z• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
