Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
% @0 x$ Z5 L+ v8 M, K& N" x) A/ ^1 S% x• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person& W3 G% _" n0 j6 l4 p) z6 e
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
, N; h8 w5 ~3 e% ?% g: G• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately. d; Y' J! Q& R1 t
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter/ ^: \, K9 S5 G k$ o
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
6 T' \0 Y# f+ ^; `; @! }• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker G1 {% |7 }$ t/ q! u
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean- N+ d8 _1 I2 `: o( c, I1 R
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:" a; j! H! s( b+ V
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person4 c0 \$ B/ ?% r+ y
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
3 n! X/ P( s4 w& l• Good English writing and oral communication skills
: O8 E! y* e* X* F! q( u1 d• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients7 t; o w6 q$ e; R# m0 ~1 Q
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook4 B6 N: W8 G }7 a- _; b
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately " \! W$ x# V4 F% `
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds
$ ], F; W) F8 C* C* M• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:
3 \5 d" J! J8 Y2 }: J: E$ u8 d2 _. W• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
" s+ E3 W: b H( ?7 v8 b• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment% A: P7 \+ m0 e
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
& w) u) c* \ G8 t7 w• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
