关于EI maternity benefits和EI parental benefits的申请有一段这样的说明

the period since the start of a previous EI benefit period, if that benefit period started during the last 52 weeks.

不知道大家怎么理解qualifying period 这句话的意思。! G* u" t5 u4 g0 ~* V ?6 A+ h

由于按照该网页的说明，EI maternity benefits可以在生育前申请的，而EI parental benefits则要生育后才可以申请的。7 Z. }6 S9 r; V8 y3 }# W
其实是想要弄清楚的是在如果生育前申请了EI maternity benefits，那么生育后 申请EI parental benefits的时候要满足的qualifying period 到底是怎么计算的呀。
