At around 8:30 a.m., RCMP, Chestermere fire crews and Calgary EMS personnel were called to Highway 791 just east of Calgary after a pick-up truck and smaller car crashed head-on, said EMS spokesman Stuart Brideaux., h& s, z8 s" l; L

The female driver in her mid-teens, who was the lone occupant of the small car, sustained serious and potentially life-threatening injuries and needed to be extricated from the vehicle by fire crews.7 }* b/ l9 J7 |$ n# ?4 Q

STARS Air Ambulance was called to take the girl to the Foothills Hospital.
