- provide volunteers to update membership database6 a( X0 |5 z8 T( g+ F
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers |% f- s; ?; ?- V4 l
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
6 t& D; ]. ]7 F. V: [- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
/ _3 S0 E$ V- Z5 K( m- provide volunteers for various programs
4 G# Y( \% c: U1 X( G( u- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
8 W9 U; R# n4 g- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
5 [" i3 ]" s0 @! Y9 j- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
3 R6 g8 E: t, o2 Z- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services# V) e6 G9 J* X8 n! s6 k, g
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
5 v% b, z+ g. E8 A7 C. V- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
# P0 j0 q- h6 ^, Y: Z4 C- Z+ L6 U; P- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
) s8 b9 }4 i- c" h" W3 H) @- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
) ~0 [" T: n! k( z; R5 y8 d: p- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
1 N4 t6 ]: E& u' Z- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
6 _. V* Q5 N& A$ _2 n- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
" R% X" u2 D0 v- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
- q8 A& L0 M) G- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis
* p0 S2 Z H- W; n" ?. t( u- evaluations
/ D# u3 u+ b8 q- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
4 [3 t" U3 [) x% L; O( S- good oral and written Chinese and English skills I9 T, |# M3 V; Z
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services/ B) v1 o4 U* N2 g3 l
- leadership skills5 r* u* F; P' l4 F
- management and supervision skills
