- submit information for community news

- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
| M7 F& @2 J0 Y0 O- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties6 i9 p" n. U) _; z; P. o
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties M. p$ F2 F- K: O/ z
- provide volunteers for various programs
6 W [- Y, ]4 Y- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
% @$ ?* S8 A' g. s1 \2 _- y4 {8 E- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation7 H* U# n3 U# x: b" B
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities6 S5 t' O+ Q5 U+ v& R4 ?" d
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services8 r* s# W, \5 w
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports$ g- O. u# M" x4 P' _
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed3 ?0 G6 E/ t; B6 q0 P' y
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
( {' i3 x5 S+ m8 X- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
# M, l. f# O" e4 i( G% F5 s& O- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events . d7 `' a- `/ u, x
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual 6 `. e- [: B: h- x; P/ X# i
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers - d) s1 S% M3 @0 `
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers 3 x1 Y# j A% d4 V2 q5 p {
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis ! b+ W8 _1 F4 v7 H8 t6 d: ?8 m
- evaluations

Qualifications
2 ~# ^( w1 h: J0 ?+ r9 X- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education/ u( L" |/ B8 M, C! v( x
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills( I, [+ R; x1 X& W5 L; h! A
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
. q3 x1 z7 k# C2 a% N- leadership skills
; H8 P& J( l/ Y1 W- management and supervision skills/ E8 h/ k; U& I+ r, m
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
