Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator
Hours of Work: 17.5 hours per week

: B! _% i. |* A4 K& j6 X) s8 D/ e-        submit information for community news
" [$ G9 I7 f! `1 ]. ~-        provide volunteers to update membership database
1 C  q% M1 k- A7 ^: s-        recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
5 q/ T: ?% a* y9 D; E( b-        train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
-        train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
-        provide volunteers for various programs
-        coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
-        planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
-        participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
5 Y& [( b) y/ q, ]4 p+ E-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
-        assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
2 c* w) D9 Y7 F: ?$ w) z-        provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
* w: D4 \8 }; @; a6 u# u" w: q-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
/ b$ M: y; |& X- k2 F# T-        promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events  
-        development and distribution of a volunteer manual  
-        planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
, ^3 `1 {3 r! z0 y, l% Z. x) T/ }: }-        planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
1 c( E9 \, G. s5 _! a. n* I-        consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

Qualifications
-        degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-        experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
* H" f% Z; w  m- n5 U+ b9 |-        leadership skills
-        management and supervision skills
-        exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
& e  d  O+ n. S4 {3 g7 g5 G" r' G
* ^, M( H" s: h6 W; u$ j% C1 IStandard Requirements
5 q8 r2 h7 L/ v# p  dSecurity check (at the expense of employee) and child welfare check

' U3 ?2 M- B. T+ ~# t! x这个职位不是义工，而是义工统筹员，是有报酬的一个part time工作，而报酬的金额根据教育和经验程度而定。
