. r' U7 d. n- v' x! [* [- provide volunteers to update membership database- o4 b% N9 u( k" z$ D
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
# ]0 V, Y6 S+ \' Z7 s( @- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties7 Z5 i( Z: S- a. Z
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
Z$ Y( j s {7 Q- provide volunteers for various programs 1 g5 @9 C8 P+ v% N# X7 C: J
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual' _8 d* H/ D. W6 W$ t( m2 L1 f6 Z
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
* y% U' i1 T* _6 E- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities4 e* `$ [6 q- T
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
# G( e9 Z6 z ~% T7 Z8 T9 z1 D4 s- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports4 R5 w$ W; \9 p" ^3 J! _: x$ C' U
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
$ W& _6 K I# M' F- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed$ S+ |: E. P3 r$ e( `
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
! a. s* D8 W6 N* `, Y- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events ; u1 G+ e5 U4 e. R# J( p
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
5 b- z' n6 v/ W# f# v2 Z$ r& I- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
+ r: W1 \, U/ W) i' l- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers , E! C" P. z* U* f1 e) G
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis
" I% p) `4 e. k. t* F- }- evaluations
5 e. P' }0 N+ x" d- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

Qualifications7 Q4 I! s# G5 W% f* @9 o/ r( c
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education1 W; n3 `# j X# Q! I9 N M
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills0 K% q- q! K6 e6 U
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services. H3 h, F6 {8 r3 R
- leadership skills
% B( F, _+ C. B k& j5 D- management and supervision skills9 O; X5 x+ D% C! y' V( q
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills" B, V# G/ D. h0 A/ `) v+ Z4 H
