- submit information for community news
' I7 G% T$ u( \$ l* Q- t! T1 |3 ?- provide volunteers to update membership database0 U: Q2 }2 Z5 }, d5 E
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
9 D& q0 n. _; T- Z: d, y- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties) ^: C& [, z9 ^. }
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
/ d$ Z& X1 `$ g- provide volunteers for various programs ) ^( ?2 \- ?) I9 v9 a2 f4 x1 o
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual: B( p" G5 Y# O" _9 {% c
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation: X& B! ?1 o, w/ T
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities8 S* n# a1 ^) O: u& f. o k; D- u
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
5 V2 a# a; o8 e8 F4 L l: n- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
/ o6 l+ v* ?% @# i/ o- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
9 v- @. i3 e1 U& ]6 q7 u9 P- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
1 \+ E3 J4 O; N3 \, B5 t) D- development and distribution of a volunteer manual 0 f( t, T7 X# {; x2 e- h( s" x
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
7 T* f+ u* f7 d- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers , b$ {, q6 O$ _) \4 ?2 z
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis . p* v b5 K9 X+ {/ ~) Y5 |# ]
- evaluations + V7 g# e( C% ?5 u* H. u; @
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

Qualifications
9 W% q; Y1 ]8 u- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education' W+ }8 M2 t. h* b' S# i3 n
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
% @* S/ G7 z0 @* [1 F, l- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services+ P& t" M5 A! R1 K# R& A
- leadership skills" n; R8 ]( ?& L. G
- management and supervision skills
+ {% G) c( i1 w# c& E- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills6 k0 w4 D X* [( Y' j9 G8 \, R- o
. o) C' [* [& b
