W- K- m ~% B- {' hWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
b- ~ c, C; Y7 G• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
) j X( B. V( ^• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
/ H* f6 O+ F. d" k6 e. f, ^/ o4 ~% B• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
! `$ d9 v* t+ Y' t• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
8 i# n( h! ~7 d+ O" B, P• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker; e: ]4 A/ X, A$ p/ L
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
. T. T$ E1 O" X• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
. X# k# N# }7 {9 N! D/ S! ^6 s• Keep the reception area tidy and clean- v) @- g- N% r5 U5 _6 h/ J- c8 w
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters% r# u! u y; I; V
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
) A0 [5 A- O, H C* q" i' L( Y# b8 i• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person" O b% a2 W: c1 P1 d
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
: N9 u$ A/ ^; N5 n( h" v* i• Good English writing and oral communication skills) F+ ?) l% W) I5 |
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
' X. ~; s9 B3 J8 Z3 N+ y• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook5 f2 q5 f7 O) A
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 6 L+ @$ U+ J# C- @% q4 ~
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds% y7 l2 A% }9 y' o/ o* l3 ^
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
5 W& H, N# n5 M8 B• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment, ~. s8 s' X: D( A$ G
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism) q8 w- h4 ~# F( M1 ~
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
