Position Summary:
) I# ?' X: U* l) aWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
: p# |: o q/ p4 c, ?, O# b• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person8 @, d6 d0 o" ?! ^8 p5 ]
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
' x; N4 |0 U5 E: S• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately- v7 A2 A& y4 }# N
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter6 ^3 X7 }% Y% v6 U
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents1 m4 F$ K* @! N% v- G0 h; \
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events1 e; u( I+ r! E1 S+ ^9 K8 [
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
* u% E5 {$ ]& T3 }2 M+ J• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

P7 M0 @0 l* Y& V7 U- m• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
) k4 n* c' C5 Q" J2 P4 L2 x• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset; {7 A `; E5 ^) x" p6 I
• Good English writing and oral communication skills' Z3 B; \* Z, Q
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
3 @1 i' ~9 u3 f% @$ R• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 1 z4 K' q* {; y ]3 Y7 B: ?
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
3 ]+ U% G! v9 S9 ~• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism% M* @( M! ^2 I
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
