Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 4 p. @) L+ f: H/ o! Key Responsibilities:
* y6 ^" g: i# M/ @& @• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
) I( ^6 {7 A Z' {/ V. A• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST, l% a7 M! B6 l) K5 \$ _) ? K
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately$ ?5 R3 ?6 G# e) E& v" w
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
2 b& p: a% q" `& B• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
. D: g) I6 S$ G2 K0 E• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker# `7 e* ^& U' M1 x! M
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
- V$ z2 Y: P' z8 x+ \7 U• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events; ^1 C, K, Q0 C8 w1 B
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean. W# k. V# L( Z4 |$ d8 ^
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
( O% L: C! ?5 n5 Y1 M• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:4 F* A- O8 t/ F! Y# ^) M
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
: L& G! j& @8 L. D" g• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset' s% X- w. W# y: b4 c4 G3 ]
• Good English writing and oral communication skills) a" q4 o! u8 I1 s
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients0 ?6 Y) Q3 z3 R* f5 W
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:* s. A# w8 h s; j3 w, L* [
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
6 `! |2 n6 R0 B% l• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
( D. o5 r \6 S( W" j" p• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism4 n7 {# Y2 C0 N8 a2 |5 p; f2 l
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
