Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. # G7 Y* g, x Z. Key Responsibilities: W' R' u; B* E. t
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
- u! U# s$ h; ]0 M! J, `• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST8 s; ?6 M% B6 M, D& v. X
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
& z, f6 D. F4 p% o# q• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter4 y1 \$ `* N( h
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
) p5 K& l* Z6 x% O- L• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker) b3 |2 H9 H! ]7 z
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events1 `( @: {5 w7 o( J, t% j
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
% u# f( W+ v( ~) G3 ^• Keep the reception area tidy and clean% }+ G% ` ~; l7 z) I! O
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
& i% A0 R, p, }: e" W• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:% D9 G$ T' X+ g. y
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person2 Z) ?( Z9 v3 W7 ]4 x. \+ P
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
5 [& \. z9 D2 o# J* ?6 L• Good English writing and oral communication skills' s" w; Y* }0 v. l6 z7 n
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
& f& D/ d* O* Y$ C7 j' @: N3 t• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
0 q7 i* i. v E' L ?• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
( G3 T$ A* L+ _" T) R( |. S• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
& G( T8 t. E, x; i5 D7 o• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism. z3 R1 w+ x. W9 t0 a
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision7 Y$ }/ o' g" r$ Y
