Position Summary:
& }7 C" X; g: ^3 ]8 A. s/ pWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

9 o+ ~/ Z7 a3 h• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
2 S4 W8 _0 L) ^; O" I• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST2 Z. b8 ? L; q% t4 N3 F
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately4 i- J, { S% I: o" ~
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
, W# u) J7 i% _; a: L* v• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents5 z1 ~4 n+ [6 D9 E, }
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
( `# {! ]3 a9 `: F& I• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events2 u" @ ~+ ]8 F- x
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events% x2 u5 ]% X: U8 j: W2 j, g! d
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
# L: C- J# w- k0 l• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters- k- h! Y* l9 A0 T
• Maintain front counter service files! e: r h; Z1 W; S) y
• Perform general office duties as assigned" B' m6 R0 o3 ]5 I6 C( x
• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:0 `6 F5 M$ [* x$ g
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person* E0 H C1 C) t( m
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset' j5 S8 y* m9 Z3 ~* L4 B
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
6 _4 N6 |3 t. U# [• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
/ Z* E) w y! X( D# U G• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:$ b" ^+ O. M U# }0 G; l. P
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
8 T) O7 A: i" Y A( L( W• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
% h6 T1 j' M' c• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
; r3 C3 n% R% H" _3 \9 C8 u• Ability to work well under minimal supervision9 y2 u) ?4 d# ~: S# A& V
