well as fabric and hair detail are superior to anything that has come before.

has noticeable improvements in metering accuracy, while the larger LCD is1 x7 P% V4 s# H" e ^" O
easier to read. The camera body feels solid and ergonomically simple, while
0 V) L4 k* j; |; ?5 Zalso feeling lighter and smaller than previous high-resolution Nikons. New1 E$ h* l; U: M9 K) I) P+ y: a$ M# ]
cameras always inspire me to test and explore, and all the useful features

# j' T2 T% a% M9 v2 J7 _$ lTo me, cameras are more like paintbrushes than technology. The goal is
* f1 _$ B: O: I5 w# r hnot megapixels or technique but the image, and while camera models! \/ e( S! Y+ M+ b3 v4 k7 v
are important, they are not the be-all or end-all. But after a lifetime using
( }5 \& V; |5 G# A# k/ Zcountless cameras, I have found a new best friend. It was not love at first
* _& m( Q* E( h! Esight. The sharpness and detail were initially intimidating, exposing my flaws
. ~, H e7 Y. E" Glike never before. Subtle camera movements showed and differences of
}7 |2 Y, h+ ~acuity between aperture choices on various lenses were apparent. But now I
1 R9 N+ V5 [ M9 h4 o! B* l; Bam enthralled with this technology. Why? Because the images almost feel as
/ I7 K0 H$ ]( c9 P* |though they were made with a 4x5 view camera! Special features like timelapse

2 {$ t0 V ]5 `7 ]6 T |* \tremendously to the camera’s personality. After spending a month with the- W$ n' r5 S/ O
D800, I’ll never be the same again. Perhaps the best compliment I can express+ D( Y0 L0 F* S* [1 X- o3 E7 m. c
is that now I will think differently about the images I make.0 @ H: p0 P0 I; i" H/ Y
As a modern architectural photographer I am always looking for a lightweight,+ D; \$ j$ d3 q9 I6 D5 d: k' F
compact and reliable camera system fulfilling the requirements of my personal0 L! }! d8 B F& A1 _
artistic and client expectations. The Nikon D800 will set new standards for! f/ c& E/ j. V$ R, k) }

perfectly match with the newly invented system and produce breathtakingly; |) g: y. a0 h4 Y
clean, clear and sharp files. This camera gives me the photographic flexibility
: e: T1 ~5 v, b* G: C2 nto work at unusual shooting locations and capture images in an exceptional
