& s6 h: ?" c8 E-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
technology;
6 I  E' s+ s5 B% a4 A! ]7 z-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
-        Participate in peer reviews;
-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
0 r1 j: w4 c" e  y" ^/ ^/ p-        Testing system changes;
# x- I* K" d0 \5 x* c( _-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
! L  }) S# `/ ?. E! [9 Odepartment’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
3 L2 s7 \& o: _' D$ `, ]-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
, H0 c4 p, S7 [4 W. ]: t-        Lead short term projects;
7 i8 K5 i" t( w; i1 D$ a: j6 r-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
1 n3 d+ g! V" t-        Excellent written communication skills;
-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
effective delivery of service; and
# M8 K+ w2 k0 X4 X-        Understanding of project management.

# C6 c- y, p0 F( H(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)
  ?3 |5 A; }" v* \# t! \
(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

9 w5 Y8 I. [' F. ]* V(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

& t* L$ e0 U& {. z(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

B. Desirable Requirements
" w# H/ g5 T! f6 ~(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:
- Infragistics controls
- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET
- Nunit
- Crystal Reports

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
