Senior C#.net / SQL consultant. 1yr contract starting April 2nd, 2012.

In general, key aspects of the role are:
-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
6 V/ k( [& k1 O) C' Jtechnology;
0 [) U* Q/ V2 y/ N  l-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
. {* j0 N2 F8 w/ I! E- Z& y3 Z- [-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
7 ?  h3 @1 m7 R  w-        Participate in peer reviews;
5 U4 b" B' X; ]2 F8 O-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
6 Q0 J3 K; f0 X9 K" ]department’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
+ _" N$ s; v% u-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
: W. d# [: e5 G$ Q# _5 d6 o! B2 B-        Lead short term projects;
-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
$ V1 Y* U  w. L% ^+ M) T-        Excellent written communication skills;
- y6 Q0 G7 Q: q( U+ K3 U-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure

A. Mandatory Requirements
& o* U7 J2 U% B(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)
( F- D( k# f( f$ I! L5 A& F8 H0 Z( T
(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).
) i7 Q% ?( m4 J& g$ `* t- p8 L
(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

* |$ y: P9 W4 X1 ?1 @(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

) l; z# |' h3 l7 q& }(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

B. Desirable Requirements
% }& v( [7 X- C: T(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:
& S) v# B) N' u2 E- Infragistics controls
- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET
9 Y3 b8 e* m; \4 y# g- Nunit
" E5 s* g% \& T+ l  c- Crystal Reports
- Pdflib

- C  x. P( Q- t0 [(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
% R. W" H3 V) Y! F9 i/ b- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
