• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed, I% v4 c5 f7 H8 N+ [6 u; W8 [2 a
• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
" S4 ^& d0 X1 K3 V2 r' m5 K• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
' e! I+ ^8 K, l! e• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
( ^: Y. L Q0 m6 f/ u4 L; Q3 `+ O• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
% L; U% D: O. O+ n• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
& ?7 j2 A# h' ?! r: T3 J; x• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools- Q0 E2 [: @- u, e/ c
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting! q* M( H) _9 I) {# F3 w
• Mix paint, blend and match colors3 M# s) Y% J6 Z
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
; p q, L( e& E/ f• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs

Education and Experience Requirements:
3 |3 A6 B: _( _• Completion of secondary school is required
& y+ l/ X# ^6 E# d% a• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program
5 U( J; ^8 R I2 O9 z/ C& _or
2 S6 Q7 i6 D6 N& `A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
" X q, i' h! t6 v• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
