Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
- U/ X& H; H4 X% }. SEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
' w; \" s; ^4 Z/ n/ @2 f8 YMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
+ p- i. m3 o* e/ I& ]0 T•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
- w7 M/ s% U9 |; I•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
1 M& o+ D/ O5 C! t7 j: u, K•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
% t* P8 p" _0 l3 r  So        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
& Z  C8 T% O6 f1 l* P. t' ]o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
# j' B, P: l/ I! O5 q' u* Co        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
1 r+ x0 j$ Z8 o2 K- t/ g2 o' ro        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
/ N: R2 {! P9 ~7 E! I0 A5 }4 @•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
7 M& D( y4 ?; E* ~o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

& C2 M: I; E6 y$ F" `7 ]  T) ~Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
