Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 6 X( B3 X- i! t1 @3 _• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person: L0 G1 {% t3 a2 w( o: k
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST$ Z! j; V% b- Y1 d9 e
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately# O2 q2 x' `/ y) {& X/ o( S7 M# e
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter$ D5 M" P; f" M5 j& n2 C
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings1 b0 W! q- v8 w( a: f- n: q
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents& A* e) |2 m% p. [( U& l5 M$ p5 x
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
! q/ ?, f* f. y* |6 U/ g; i• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events+ P( d9 o9 U8 o5 M5 Q% v
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events5 X+ w& B' ~' p% P; q e
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean# ~- G: B" |4 G
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
) \, t- t- ^. I& z- @• Maintain front counter service files4 e" b( m' }( S* t; K4 G
• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
$ c8 ^' I) [* ^ }• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
* T0 s4 \+ h( v+ I& P- }• Good English writing and oral communication skills# ^! \" e8 F2 u6 B
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
% w& ] K# M! E- g1 f8 c5 s1 v• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:6 O0 I# Q$ @0 s
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 2 [; b) c L! c( r/ l2 H/ R4 K% e; ]
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
/ ?/ }+ d& q; d" I• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism, ~0 r% [+ J6 t
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
