, l2 e0 X' }0 E/ T3 [* jPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. % L) O2 ~3 C3 a7 g3 w( h

Key Responsibilities:
$ C+ M" E+ |: @, T; X# z# z• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person$ ?0 l7 J0 @3 s. t, T
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
# K7 E/ @: M) _' t( r! y• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
, F2 `) R7 J1 Z. a/ [• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
5 e" c5 ?9 o h• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings9 Z" h) s. c8 e" ?4 g0 S$ }
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents8 y+ q( U5 l7 O; Q5 V/ m
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker7 I( b9 S6 L& }* ]" Y
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
! a' _8 l3 j3 H/ S n3 Z• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events d0 m1 X( q2 a/ m/ N7 e3 }) y
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
7 [; `7 t7 w# j8 m8 x• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters) t$ V% U( n2 W4 L" s! f: ~4 i
• Maintain front counter service files S5 {5 k2 i5 c- B! X' `
• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
* L* @- `7 z$ ^0 z• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset9 j1 A% p; F* Z
• Good English writing and oral communication skills, o# w9 S2 l* K
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients0 E& `% a& h# p2 t3 A
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook+ w8 D& v! e# o" e& [
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
$ o) t4 v, M% v• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds
/ l7 E3 b t3 V& N0 h% @/ c( S3 T• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment1 u& l. x# v' U4 \' j
• Knowledge of immigrant services
4 ]) \! H% }' fQualifications:
, p+ M& |( }2 O2 @$ ?2 P# ~* R& e• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 0 U$ G, c- W$ R1 N7 i) }
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment9 C5 V4 p. g7 ~3 l9 O; B- q
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism) f( ]' `" {5 |/ o
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
