6 r$ G. n5 L- ?2 h5 ^Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
3 _6 {/ i9 S! h8 l! q• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
' h, _- h3 q! E i' t' b• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
- {( c/ [; t0 {• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
# w" s. @4 L0 V, E• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
z7 J; K) J6 m• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
- P2 ]* A, S1 z, ~5 {0 E" p$ I• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker+ g7 e" f% g! F8 u! l) t
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events' }7 E8 q, G* q r! @* ` I7 v
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
) M1 n4 R3 a! L- E4 `, M• Keep the reception area tidy and clean$ g5 D6 s/ \$ F; i/ y& L0 h
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned" z7 s- l8 h1 F# N7 D

1 y3 h$ t' G d( [Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
0 q a i+ y) Q) T1 s9 k8 I, U( P• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person5 P# X5 _/ C0 N7 ~
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
. I7 t* G @( s7 S• Good English writing and oral communication skills
u1 g) s! t" B' s$ n• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
) a0 L Q* h3 Q3 f' U9 x• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook% |' d% Z1 j& v2 F( {4 {
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately * C$ E$ C# I' `1 _8 P3 w
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
" r% ~- w" \3 W: T' C) k6 U# J• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment+ X8 t3 q4 k2 q* w0 F
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism! o) U& y9 ?" t. W) m
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
