1 I" K( ^7 I4 aPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. & K! j3 M9 ?* a( p$ F0 K

Key Responsibilities:' k+ m: `( t/ V. y
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
) Z% e0 j6 ]9 }7 s• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
) F, N( {" }) c7 y: T7 Z$ D• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately9 h6 L% y; o r4 b) q4 ~: Y
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter+ e# M8 {, A# Z( d( Q; p4 X& m
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
$ X& q% N. `/ C- M# R! [• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
/ @* J# e; b6 Q8 c9 L" c• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker8 D) \9 L, _5 C: V. m. T# s
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
2 V* v& y* [- L6 c' o: C• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

2 p9 X# C" `8 TKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:. R+ V$ Z* s8 L
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person( e; b& M6 B% u8 U7 ^; \
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
2 T. ~5 f- c6 ~& m• Good English writing and oral communication skills
: n* r7 K8 E' h- B0 s( w• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
; G |' Z$ A" M- X8 `$ @0 m' B& P• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds# {0 b# M- Y3 {6 j* j/ U
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:7 o8 l+ a' X' @
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
5 g* c8 E& V) X6 N• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
: H- A- R+ [/ [+ s# N/ r• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
7 U7 b. U2 B B' M5 R• Ability to work well under minimal supervision% Y, n8 e- i8 m! T) x" x1 g; g; D
