Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
7 M# Y2 r! v. L: q! \+ z• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person. m6 G- O9 u& N; b: ^2 d j
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
8 O3 `# ~9 o6 F1 V' v$ o/ ?• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
2 F6 ~8 C B9 a; E2 P; S9 N, B• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter& w3 a X3 R) E* U
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
% s3 [( }' f9 J* I8 J• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
8 c% K/ p( X, u6 ]8 @• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker. s% U! Z: n- s( W8 t- J
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
5 h$ ?. U, W4 A8 K- G* z5 q• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
( v" _ v( N4 T• Keep the reception area tidy and clean$ ?. n3 I1 b" T( ]0 T
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters; q3 l1 }% N% N8 y* ]- e
• Maintain front counter service files6 y. g% s( t/ B# m5 c/ m& W4 F
• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

) }7 \* N5 b6 a6 { J7 {; d* L$ I• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 9 S0 d+ ?% q" A: h2 o
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
. R: P1 J* z2 _+ g* B; ?+ l• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism) X& ]) E) ]) l, U: M G, k ?
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision' k6 _9 {4 M) o" L5 V% Y8 o
