Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
2 O8 n+ S- j7 b• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
' I- S5 v; d5 r, c# ^• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
8 \& Z* `, H2 y, P: U• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
/ p" b# E/ x9 Z5 I2 J5 j• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
# T3 @7 I/ B8 }+ s) C• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings8 k( e- S* x1 x$ t2 | x5 S
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents/ P$ Y: j2 t. f5 O$ b( m
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker% V/ U6 P# j, C5 z( @5 b
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events: r; {% a( r$ N, U: G5 k
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events! S8 J6 R( E4 f1 P! G, {5 T; y
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean/ m5 b! c# _' Q; P
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters' o) L" Z( H: r L6 c
• Maintain front counter service files( Y, e$ f3 Y8 d7 w* q" Q
• Perform general office duties as assigned9 K; S1 V6 e3 u. }8 x
• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:$ G* \& c0 i0 {, f. M0 F! u
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
7 M' ^+ v" D0 K• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
& h/ `% I) X/ _1 [5 h j• Good English writing and oral communication skills
2 c; ?( Y* W7 x* @9 Z& N; _. a. y• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients5 e7 _% Y# r) ]5 `; K! Q8 k
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds
$ }1 n3 `: L! M7 d4 c• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment, ^; V5 I/ X! U2 B3 ^
• Knowledge of immigrant services
1 G1 [% Y o1 z7 z$ SQualifications:: e+ _7 B0 k3 M
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
' E) q( W: a- h* h• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
$ Q* @) h6 G1 b( L. M+ W8 @• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism e- `5 d8 q% w; f4 L
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision, p" f3 c# j* v
