The Supports for People with DisABILITIES Program requires a 48 hour Weekend Worker for the Northwood Residence. This position will provide residential support to 3 men with developmental & physical disabilities and personal care needs. The hours for this position are Friday 11:00pm – Sunday 11:00pm.

Responsibilities include:
• Acting as a strong advocate for the individuals in the community
• Program implementation
• Completion of daily documentation and data collection
• Facilitation of recreation and leisure
$ a7 j3 I' M# Q• Personal care, including lifts and transfers of individuals
/ \: R. Y1 I0 j/ c8 L/ ]• Behavior management
• Medication Administration
• Day to day operations in a residential setting, including meal preparation, and household cleaning and maintenance

6 i6 V* u  [/ m- a: s: _" P7 tEducation
+ I' n0 N' _+ ^7 S: }/ P" n* c• Completion of a high school diploma
/ V) m  `3 I# o! @: E4 f• Six months of experience in the Human Services field
Training & Clearances (*Available from McMan at no cost to the employee)
) _3 f: l7 {: V$ J" w& \0 u• Security Clearance Check including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (within the last 6 months)
( s( y7 z* y" ]8 }• Children’s Services Intervention Record Check (within the last 6 months)
! p6 U5 g8 V' t4 w• Standard First Aid with CPR
• *Suicide Awareness or Suicide Intervention training
) o& i* t# H! l8 v: n. _' S5 Y• *Non-violent Crisis Intervention Training
• *Medication Administration

Skill Sets
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with personal care
• Ability to complete physical lifts and transfers of individuals
