2 E/ W9 P9 S/ y Y% ] j w+ `YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
9 P' Q0 }+ P' ]& p. }! Y5 h* C" c• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
% r0 a' h) `/ O+ |2 G0 W% C• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records 4 |6 ?) {! ?8 ]2 ]* s* V+ b
• Input benefit deductions into payroll$ x# v6 l: k5 e, ]2 K5 h4 k4 H6 p

Reporting duties:
8 L/ u' k' n) @& v; T• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider) }4 I8 \2 A) g1 s% R1 O- h
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
7 g: T2 H5 Y. x4 ]' e: P• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
3 Y+ Q# B4 Y6 n, T `' F• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority3 r z1 O, L" a G$ o, m& Q
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations/ E3 S3 O6 C3 r5 M( N

Compliance: D) g0 Z# j2 U5 D2 P# }9 B# O+ `
• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll 9 M4 c, R/ L3 M
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.: C& G5 X" C; n. i4 B
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
# R5 C# f5 r- N( Q) b5 Q• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting0 z1 W0 |% i/ C: }& @6 f) [

Accounts Receivable:
2 [) x! p% P/ a: t; k) V- @• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
2 ]0 B. A" }/ j! m/ h; X( L• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
; }3 X2 k7 \' y& H( q• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
& K0 l3 e+ }" T6 l: N3 J' o" |• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

Qualifications:
0 I" t$ ?4 t7 C
O2 b( t) x! H; e+ r! v• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
W( P- v% p" A' m! Y, C" Q. b• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
; D; ^/ H- _" B$ Q- O& ^• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position/ F" s1 V3 L1 H* K( q
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
$ f- i) M4 B4 u1 h6 _• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work& f' H. s# b/ r, H# U
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
# W8 n1 S- Y" s7 E* `5 n• Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
