" y% x O* o0 c7 [YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. 7 `- y& ]( `/ _4 B, j
Job Responsibilities:

• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
5 s/ C( Y0 p$ p) G8 V% M3 K0 ^• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll w' [+ g2 c9 U4 q
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
4 C2 j: T( s% H/ \. B1 d9 C% H• Input benefit deductions into payroll

Reporting duties:: w7 @ n" a# ?1 p% h
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
$ h+ w7 \/ h# C• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website5 Y& U" N6 z8 ]5 T$ ~, C' q4 J7 X1 u
• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
: W9 L, D1 f2 f, t; P• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority
, l; }& Z1 x5 X. k9 |1 c# s• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll 6 k- ]8 e$ C1 T
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
" T8 L' x' N9 L) N0 Q8 H* D' z• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies. z# k6 `& q: M. r$ p! e f
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

Accounts Receivable:- N% r- l/ y. A* J1 {$ D' ?
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
$ A0 A: M! J6 H4 q) |! W6 f• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
2 V( p; f& \7 D: \( l% {3 z• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments+ U3 @+ z: i1 i8 s
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing1 t' N7 G& r# P' u
- Q( z. T/ F9 d; b+ }6 IQualifications:8 O+ q+ w/ n; h) T

• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP4 F4 C9 [0 ? f/ `1 }1 O
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
6 F* u6 w# d0 k% S( k4 f A# v9 |• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position" @8 c8 n* a. @4 b/ u: k
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office! q! G c5 w( V$ x$ I
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work0 s) q& h0 [ Y) h- Q
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
