Payroll:: a( Z! M) a1 I1 P( d
• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
8 \- w& a1 G) t+ d }* A- W- W• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll, r0 h4 {2 `2 z
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
7 ]9 h3 d* P% s$ X: H8 Q0 y• Input benefit deductions into payroll, D0 F) r( f6 ~0 }) }
3 m( |3 `+ \$ J2 R3 VReporting duties:: q# B! |: p# Y& \% T$ [6 a; _
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider: B3 H3 R+ z3 W3 H/ {! ?6 e( _& B
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
5 X8 y+ Q5 A. l$ n; Y• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
0 O5 \6 W+ S) v3 g• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority
B1 E' M9 t6 i' L- x2 I• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

Compliance:& z: q/ |- o) W$ ^
• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
, R: ]- j; D( u, L, r0 C4 e8 h% z" i• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
' g E( l# x. p7 t- B• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
6 A1 g0 ?% a/ o: ?• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

- @' ^9 e! L% v; q9 {• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
" V; n2 V: V% Z9 w3 V4 v• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
7 M! g8 ^9 W. Q9 l- H3 S• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments5 f) K5 ^7 t& s7 K: \: s& ^
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing. g* c( f {$ m, e- j

Qualifications:. k {' P6 ?" D, Z$ J3 W
8 Q0 n. S2 b5 E# U6 I# R J• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP
1 Z3 X- n, ]/ U' h- P5 J9 |• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association$ F/ f) C0 Q5 r: r+ v* q
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
7 L" L$ ]0 W f0 p& }" s1 A2 U3 o• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office7 }; M; Z9 E$ B1 V
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
