Position:        Youth Leader
Duration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
' N3 K0 \9 T! S# F$ ACamp 1 – July 04 – July 14
& H5 t  ?9 `( M( kCamp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
Time:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)
  d/ G( B- p/ m* s' M' o*might work in other time in some specific days
Place: ASSIST Community Services Centre

Program Coordinator:        Daniel SUEN

Duties:
To assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

 Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
, S' h# W. p3 g1 x9 i  C8 Q  x& ? Take attendance if available
 Provide positive modelling to youth
 Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
1 e0 H4 u0 Z; W5 w6 j% w( v0 W- j Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
6 C- @# s9 l2 G1 X Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
 Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
 Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
 Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
" ]5 |/ g( ]" l: _- m) ?( ^" B Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
 Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
 Assist in program planning/design
 Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

Attitude/Skills Requirements

 Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
 Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
9 }1 N( ^' w( a* ~  U5 B: L4 D A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
 Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
; ?( `2 i+ v$ u* Q9 x Able to work independently with minimum supervision
9 ^) ]! p/ H$ x Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
 Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
3 r- M6 F( g1 ?/ m, F0 g! p5 f Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
