Volunteer Job Description

: Z4 n2 X0 _& c) rPosition:        Youth Leader
Duration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
Camp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
Time:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)
*might work in other time in some specific days
Place: ASSIST Community Services Centre

* i. K+ H& k* iDuties:
- M0 f4 d8 B: T. U' |: {0 wTo assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

 Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
 Take attendance if available
. o7 n* f5 |/ m5 o" I Provide positive modelling to youth
 Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
 Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
+ R8 M) |! |6 D0 z4 O0 T8 V Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
 Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
. w3 V: y  B8 H, S% F. Q Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
$ A6 _7 A% @- ^+ @5 `; s! U+ s Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
: P6 L8 n; Y) @' p' P4 M Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
2 }& m; P, a; p; ^ Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
 Assist in program planning/design
 Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

1 H' d1 s( v* e( c" y. i5 Z4 F Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
 A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
) C9 z- m8 [6 {( P! v Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
3 d# s# m& ]! G. _- v. `+ d Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  t5 L/ Y% D+ I6 c! P! A* [ Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
 Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
 Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
