The Position
The Jerry Forbes Centre for Community Spirit: A Capital Campaign for 630 CHED Santas Anonymous, is looking for a
skilled and professional office administrator to join our capital campaign team.
Duties and responsibilities
General
% H+ X3 L- D4 q# C• Handles communication by telephone, fax and email
1 o' ^, e6 ?+ S! x0 i/ J• Is responsible for photocopying and all filing
• Records minutes of meetings when requested by the project leader and manager of marketing and fund
development, distributes and files same
: O/ E3 ?# ]/ [  D0 B• Participates in maintaining a binder of current administrative procedures
0 o! q' q! d+ M0 k• Archives files
• Assists in the production of Thank you letters and tax receipts
• Updates donor database and compiles weekly volunteer and other reports
• Appointment and meeting scheduling
' G: T6 {, z0 d9 F' y6 a4 {+ T7 W% R• Assist in planning and preparing for special events
• All other tasks required for the smooth and efficient running of the office
Administration
0 O7 H1 L) W. R, [( J! W• Provides administrative support to the project leader and manager of marketing and fund development as
required
3 A" K- D( j6 h% Q) `7 AAccounting
• Accounts payable complete to checks
• Creates Bank deposits and takes deposit to the bank
• Creates and distributes monthly financial reports

. O" B8 n9 D* u% E0 D8 V- T+ o• Skilled use of MS office products including database systems, spreadsheets, word processing and Power Point
, t! J4 c1 f1 K  C. c4 x• Knowledge of other software products such as financial systems (Simply Accounting) and donor management
software (Income Manager)
, M1 Y2 c, {/ h$ A# q• Ability to flex time as required

• Requires personal vehicle
Hours of Work
# E9 g8 }. Z$ q3 ^9 ~5 g- A' P• Part time – 24 hours per week.

Community Spirit: a 70,000 square foot multi-tenant, non-profit centre and volunteer workshop.
Mission: To provide healthy, affordable and vibrant work spaces for Edmonton non-profit organizations, as we dream,
grow and work together.
Vision: To create a legacy of volunteerism in Edmonton, fostering collaboration between non-profit organizations by

Once constructed, the Jerry Forbes Centre for Community Spirit will become a small, working village of charitable

+ t. s( u+ ^7 @  F1 sand warehouse space to non-profit organizations in need -- and become a legacy of goodwill for decades to come.
