Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:
" i/ `+ T- k: g6 L- x" W2 t0 t1 Z$ A- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;
5 Z, U& S# ~- k6 d- b2 `& X, u1 O- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.
$ K* c7 n' L5 x  @0 V- R. x9 G/ F- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.
