Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:
. x. J& e9 a9 ?6 u. W& c- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;
9 \8 b8 m# n0 @1 o) O( I- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter./ j" m3 G c R6 E/ M: e7 {* k
- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.
