请问Alberta health care 是否cover看心理医生的费用，看心理医生需要被推荐吗，可以自己约医生吗？在北美，是不是不可以跟自己的医生是朋友？ 谢谢。

psychiatrists hold a Medical doctor degree, psychologists have masters or phd in psychology and although they are not medical doctors, it is possible some are addressed as Dr. XXX because of their PhD background.

counseling应该是cover的， 之后的treatment就得自己付了。
或者看看你的保险。
