Job Description! G# j6 T3 Z2 x, O; Z7 i9 F
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information k: l" x) a) Q
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.: V7 E0 c( a! f7 |
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP) j i1 u7 h' H! @0 I5 ?
- provide support to ISP staff" F. P8 H4 F1 L; R K2 j
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
0 J7 r3 T: l5 ~% x8 a! ], W- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
g- U! N" a. l- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
+ V) a ]2 m( e8 Z1 y6 G' x8 J- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants9 T- ]! |3 Q' E! U* S
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals# t$ A7 L# Q x: E3 R* Q
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder

- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities) U* D; V) e( u
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

Qualifications
" W/ x5 V# K' q& M* j* ^- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered, N# F, b0 O! A# ^
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available P7 O4 V7 w. A, }# r1 s' z
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
3 m. c: k& L7 v, q- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
8 b% A' J3 n' p h# R( D' s5 G- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)' G+ k- i. d/ ~0 u% Q6 X p
- good interpersonal and people skills4 j2 V$ R' }' J; Q6 ~+ `, A6 k
