Job Description
, B; E% L9 o* ^9 q$ q# c; ?- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
$ s2 p0 F3 j1 r. v+ i- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.3 G4 t: L) X6 w
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
7 ^# M! W- P6 S- provide support to ISP staff" k- q+ v" d5 \! d; z
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members' x5 v; [1 \/ j9 s3 i& C
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities) B9 W5 g7 P3 ]( q" Q2 c
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated; N `# n7 j( F6 q" g0 \# J$ |
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants$ z* F7 m4 J# a5 D( W
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals3 s* w. b& f, q# W. D
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
+ x w* o8 ^3 [( |* q7 K- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
?. w$ g& R! b2 i- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities6 T; u: h3 ], ^, t; Z
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned; {" D% i( U- E& y7 g" R& U( n
- other duties as assigned

Qualifications u( A. A. d! J2 K: N
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered* \6 J' ^& I, i9 l; r; K! W
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
8 I2 Y4 y0 w3 |- G7 n- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
1 |; G! Q! v$ O8 c- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
: q9 W4 I/ z5 S2 X2 K- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)

- good organizational and coordination skills
