6 H- p3 t. G$ a, M8 i- T* I- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
7 ^+ N4 p. P( i; e9 a. g$ I' [- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.- p; H8 d0 D) P* g) I, J* ~
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
6 a5 Q0 K, e; K7 n; p, U5 D- provide support to ISP staff
- F, f3 u @5 Z1 y( F' R6 P, ~- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members7 K$ _8 E$ R/ @/ N4 Q3 l4 ^. P
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
, a% @; u7 q a# a( C- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
" p, x( A! j! a+ w8 g- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
# g7 _' t8 o8 A- \" B- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
1 Z5 E' a9 K2 n( Y- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder H X1 {& U8 D+ }+ T1 J3 {
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.- E, o0 b. Z; | H! q; x \4 o
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
* S" K4 f2 y, J# r2 }- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned6 k2 Q C% B c" @7 ]9 c' z; g1 t$ U
- other duties as assigned - x; B$ w) ?: \) X
" m' f: v. M# }& v9 hQualifications( F7 {9 C" _% s; X& e
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
( b7 p9 Y4 P( L. x% D, }6 ^! s" h- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
! b) e7 \- h7 d- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
7 B' t9 C6 G, ~- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software; L5 W( l( ?; M9 D1 Y w8 d$ O$ z
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
