Job Description. h3 V; O" q4 {4 ]. r( p
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information$ n& ^. G$ ]% k8 x# S% {, w. D
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
5 {; F4 _, B7 h4 J. Z- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
$ h1 v! a' F1 c5 U q8 V# V- provide support to ISP staff# N' F9 I) C6 |) {) c# j8 E: I8 [
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
0 V' ]6 h/ v- x+ y! v- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
: B$ D' E; f w, a, X- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated$ r4 P7 [: w8 p2 |5 w5 D
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants. j$ Z% B4 H4 V5 _3 n n
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals2 m% w2 l% f/ w9 i: ^7 ]
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder

- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities

- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
& s$ K. e& Z/ x2 i- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
, Q8 Y( x( m; D8 V' P- Z( E' Q- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers

- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
