Resource Room Advisor/Resume Writer" F3 s3 s, V" m
 Provide ongoing positive encouragement and support to clients accessing the Resource Centre.
1 S5 y( [% n' ^  _) H+ k5 Z Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.7 C2 S8 f  J4 B% Y4 n4 q" v
 Provide information regarding job search strategies and labour market information.
# h7 l! b; X0 F: |( J9 ^4 f Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.
% V# F& A# T# S) N Maintain all resources in the Resource Room insuring that they are current and relevant.9 u3 X/ R* `" a. ~4 K
 Update and maintain job boards.

 Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute.: y$ q' Z2 a( W) a& d
 Support newcomers participation in the settlement program.
9 O- B! e5 ~$ V; ]8 g Promote Bredin Institute’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives.

 Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.# I1 Z( ]9 [  N2 S: F
 Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.
; ?/ a% i  e# f7 L2 D3 X( v) { Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.
7 I" y* Q; q& d; t6 w) ~# }  g Ensure that newcomers know and understand their entitlements.4 v; B( V, B  C- k' z

 Attend multi-agency and multidisciplinary meetings, as required+ E" o" l; X$ r$ t

 Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties.. ?: k: I' W9 C& m: G
 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.
9 \- H% n& S8 @% T$ w. e( d Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.0 a% X, C3 z8 \' L8 T! ~
 Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.
! W9 T2 ~" O1 v* J Cooperatively with the client, develop an individualized service plan.

; J4 R1 H6 Y: Q( q2 Z: F+ V) \) c Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada

 Complete participant reviews with the participants
& L/ M0 e% ^$ n$ t Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion
