Resource Room Advisor/Resume Writer

 Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.- V+ _4 A( G- j% v: J+ ^, B
 Provide information regarding job search strategies and labour market information.
- c" x( |& J. B1 m$ D% j Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.2 \7 P* \) L5 n9 a) b4 D
 Maintain all resources in the Resource Room insuring that they are current and relevant.! c( h: Y. c) N  E

 Be required to work flexible hours, with some evening and occasional weekend work

 Support newcomers participation in the settlement program.

 Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.3 B' Y+ M9 ^2 }1 H8 a0 R" Q
 Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.

 Keep up-to-date all other administrative tasks as directed by the Program Co-ordinator.

 Responsible for intake, orientation and completion of workability assessments.
* b3 X7 ]- l7 V- e! I" q Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties.
2 r6 [6 e2 @1 U0 N3 s: X# _4 \ Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.
& z0 {5 z0 `4 s0 T" g9 w Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.
3 C; Z% g. J/ J Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.
0 Q: g3 K. v# {5 w' U2 f Cooperatively with the client, develop an individualized service plan.

Service Manager

 Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan

! @/ x4 I* l+ u7 [" N Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada
. {& |$ l% w; l" ~: q Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants

 Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion8 G- A( H2 c, s- w) Y
