Diagnosing diesel engine malfunctions and making indicated repairs
Operating machinery in a safe and effective manner
; I# j4 E* Y) a! H, MProviding daily locomotive maintenance that includes changing oil or repairing, replacing, cleaning and adjusting parts

Diagnosing locomotive component malfunctions
Preparing inspection, work and maintenance reports

Visual acuity and hearing threshold tests are required for this position. Written pre-employment tests to become a Machinist Apprentice are required for this position. Completion of 3-year apprenticeship is required to become a Journeyman Machinist. This position is subject to night, weekend and holiday work hours when needed.
