2 {3 D0 c( n& O' rDiagnosing diesel engine malfunctions and making indicated repairs
Operating machinery in a safe and effective manner
& j4 b4 e8 Z2 B+ mProviding daily locomotive maintenance that includes changing oil or repairing, replacing, cleaning and adjusting parts
Assembling and starting engines
: w" V0 D# \+ y8 BDiagnosing locomotive component malfunctions
Preparing inspection, work and maintenance reports

3 Z0 f$ ^  |0 R2 b2 ]8 Z+ GVisual acuity and hearing threshold tests are required for this position. Written pre-employment tests to become a Machinist Apprentice are required for this position. Completion of 3-year apprenticeship is required to become a Journeyman Machinist. This position is subject to night, weekend and holiday work hours when needed.

This is not a Red Seal apprenticeship.
