carefully at how issues like UBB affect the big picture. We will be

investment, increasing consumer choice, minimizing regulation and allowing1 I- {& ]4 q& z4 k } T) K

. b, ?; X7 U2 w) N$ sThe Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has
6 K" Z7 T/ {( R' p2 Uchosen to examine these concerns that the government shares with a large3 `& ? l' _- [ M

When the CRTC reaches a final decision following its consultations, the. b2 L' L" q2 ~8 p
government will carefully assess the CRTC position to ensure that it is in d+ u1 D+ U% Z$ i! B
line with the best interests of Canadian consumers and encourages3 W/ T. k0 }$ V6 F7 w& C1 T: L
competition among internet service providers. I will be recommending that: o1 i7 H4 h4 y2 C0 O4 a: D6 f! I
any decision counter to these foundational principles be reversed.
