We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

; t9 z& T' I9 A8 b5 ?8 RReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

& W  e* V+ A! l& U& ?9 T9 `- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

& p/ K; Y6 i9 \+ y& y% g- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

( g9 X& u+ q, G: ~- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

) M! H, m3 N5 M6 K. A4 X$ B2 ]! S- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

* W/ N. [; Z$ m) p- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

8 X. ^9 A# D# m% q- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- k: [1 K' r2 `3 z8 R0 y3 O- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and
