 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
9 o4 n" M, {2 @( [" m5 z4 @ Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
, n! @9 \4 `% l' F8 u5 Y Current RSW designation preferred   
2 ?$ v; u1 N1 l6 V$ z# S+ } Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
/ A% }% m* P, Q  s7 V. @ Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
* V3 g; \, m# G1 t* H1 }! q: W Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
2 z3 \. Z/ H& i; P5 J( ?! E' R$ K( Z Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
3 @* M5 v$ ^) d5 k8 h; G/ q! p" H; @& }% ` Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
