4 U( r  A* [; @4 [% n# g Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
4 Y- x" `1 U, j# t7 {9 p1 f* g Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
) d- @) \5 w) H0 ]$ X1 a Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
0 M) @2 n$ T( [. D5 q Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

1 @5 O9 v. d# v5 B! x Social work degree or diploma
* K# h# i( Y7 N8 x: C2 U Current RSW designation preferred   
3 F' o9 J4 @: S+ G Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
