Duties
6 U0 r+ m0 i) z/ N* |' PDelivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
, _' D; Q( g) @7 T5 g- ~2 g4 W$ |6 ~Obtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments) e6 K1 B& L9 v0 Y \1 A
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound! V3 b; H' O7 J0 S
Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
2 W# h5 C9 u1 N$ XOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions

Qualifications
/ D' Q' v V8 S f% HValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.$ P! o* q0 F: t9 k1 x0 `" l
High School diploma; previous driving experience required+ a5 [% M( ^- @" G
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification! l& j+ I8 n5 {0 v% }/ o
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials. m2 q6 w) C. L$ U' S
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar6 n: f) d& C* r
