; c& B$ k- @6 p. S: Y" |Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
$ T6 H3 ~" k; c; p5 kObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
+ h. K3 k& }4 t) H8 c. XPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
5 S% C- X- C* Y$ N% KOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions
% K# Y( C7 e  ^$ d- O4 l, [0 {. K% H& g- iPerforms related duties as required

Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
8 j, l' y* Q$ h4 GHigh School diploma; previous driving experience required
( }4 l  Y; J% P$ F3 J  C* OCurrent certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
Forklift operating certificate
