Duties
* T) ~& P% C4 h6 Z& e9 w5 _3 N' VDelivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items/ u" q( n0 h! I3 i) U
Obtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments& A9 I" x( o& @
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound, b" w+ U% e$ V% f$ M3 M9 R3 f/ ?
Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead- b& _+ q8 C* d8 A/ k3 h" t
Operates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions

Qualifications
^! m; M0 O4 X# W/ u" L9 pValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.6 F' u! s6 @1 f
High School diploma; previous driving experience required$ {% Q; h: q9 m8 Z$ p& ~' R
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification: |8 c9 s& C9 x. S2 a( ~& ~) V
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials! C' [% u9 S1 i' D1 g4 Y3 S
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar3 R% k. \$ ?1 P
